Stars are meteorites

How far does the sky reach?

Way up high?

Or does it fall away

into milky, creamy, nothing?

Do we know?

We think so

but it’s not true

all an illusion

the sky could go on forever

blue sky melting into black

black, black nothing

or white nothing

which is better?

Have you ever seen a shooting star?

And made a wish?

I have, it never came true

because that star was a meteorite

sent to destroy me

destroy you

and we wished on it

and it never came true

and we cried and asked why

but we knew

magic isn’t real

wishes aren’t real

they’re dead

like hope

because shooting stars

are meteorites.

What if you could go up?

Beyond the stars and the sun?

Where would you be?

Far away from life

that’s where

because you’d be in the nothingness

nothing, nothing, nothing

because space is a word

and it’s not real

because nothing is real

we’re tricked and robbed

illusions, all illusions

and where it’s dark, that’s nothing

but when your room is dark

that’s nothing too

and we’re surrounded by nothing

and we think we know where we are

but we don’t

because darkness is nothing.

Because the sky reaches however far you want

and fades into nothing

and you watch the sky lit up with

thousands of flaming meteorites

and all the kids wishing

about to be destroyed

and somewhere, deep inside

you hope their wishes will come true

Your a good writer But I

Your a good writer

But I don't really see the point of this poem

What is the plot behind it? You make it sound like there's know hope whatsoever. God made the world, the sky, so that we could explore it. Why would he make nothing?

95% would cry if they saw ROBERT PATTINSON (Edward Cullen - Twilight, New Moon) standing on top of a sky scraper about to jump. If you're one of the 5% who would sit there eating pop corn saying "DO A FRONTFLIP!!" copy this and paste it in your signature

There was once nothing...

There was once nothing... which exploded. So therefore, nothing is definatly something :) God made the nothingness :P

It's a great poem. A bit

It's a great poem. A bit despairing, but I like how you added a touch of hope at the end :D

Awww... *sheds cyber tear*

Awww... *sheds cyber tear* that's such a sweet, deep and quite frankly beautiful ending!

I also like how you positioned your stanzas :) It's creative and lets the mind rest... I suppose. *shrugs* I just like it :P

Thanks for all the comments,

Thanks for all the comments, and also, I know that it doesn't really make sense that God would create nothing, I don't mean for anyhting to be offensive to you, I agree and everything, but I wanted to write about how shooting stars are metorites, so yah
