Terrorism ****PLEASE READ AND COMMENT****

I lay in my bed, staring up at the cream ceiling of the hotel room. I was bathed in sweat, not from anxiety, but because the room temperature was higher than any I had experienced back in England. I was not able to sleep, but perhaps this was not such a bad thing, as nightmares had been plaguing me for days and had attacked my sleep relentlessly for the last month. This was the last night of the holiday and I was determined not to let myself be seduced by the possibility of sleep. I sighed as I realised this was not going to happen, and rolled over onto my side into a more comfortable sleeping position. My eyes fluttered shut, but just as they did so, I heard a deafening bang from the room next door, shortly followed by a high-pitched scream. My eyes widened with terror, but I didn’t move as I seemed to be frozen on the spot. I wondered what had caused the person to scream so loudly and with such obvious terror, but before I could reach a logical conclusion, the door of my room had crashed down and two masked figures strode through the doorway. They were both dark skinned, and armed with assault rifles. I jumped up out of bed and the taller of the two pointed their gun at me and said something in a language that was impossible for me to interpret. They shouted the same thing again, but louder this time, an obvious tone of impatience in their deep voice. I stood there, staring at them, unable to believe what was happening. The smaller of the two pointed their gun at me, eyes glaring through holes in their featureless mask. I put my hands in the air, immediately feeling stupid as I had no idea if people did this in real life, or only in movies. However, it seemed to satisfy them even though both guns were still pointed at me. The taller one, who had been the first to shout at me walked forward and grabbed my right arm. He, for I had established now that it was a man, from the deep voice, twisted my arm behind my back and shoved me forward. I stumbled, but the end of the rifle in my back prompted me to regain my footing. I was pushed out into the corridor, which was deserted. I was shoved towards the fire exit, its peeling green paint seeming out of place in an upper class hotel like this. The door opened and I was greeted by a blast of stale warm air. The metal stairs creaked in the wind for rust had eroded them. My captors did not seem at all bothered by the instability of the stairway and shoved me upwards. I stumbled on a step and grazed my knee. I clenched my teeth in pain and fear. Who were these people? Where were they taking me? I assumed the answers to these questions would not present themselves anytime soon so I decided to do what my captors instructed until I figured out anything else. I reached the roof of the building, my hands still held tightly behind my back. The masked figures walked me over to the other side of the roof, right on the edge. For a moment I thought they were about to push me over the edge, and I breathed a sigh of relief when they walked about five metres away and looked at me. I contemplated making a run for it, but I realised they would shoot me down far before I managed to escape. The Smaller figure pointed their gun at me for a second time. They pulled the trigger. Everything went black.
