Dragonfly

The 8^th Armoured Division, commonly known as Section 8, is the United States Imperial Forces primary fighting force composed of heavily armoured soldiers labeled “crazy” because of the suicidal mission they encounter and especially their deployment process of Burning In.

Second Lieutenant Eleanor Salvador, one of the three proud leaders of the 607^th Battalion consisting of the most elite Section 8 soldiers, code-named “Dragonfly” is deployed onto New Madrid to neutralize an Arms of Orion Energy Facility with an unusual amount of troops. Eleanor gets the feeling that the ARMS have something significant after hearing a conversation between two ARMS soldiers. They spoke of an “intel” that needed to be carried safely to ally hands or the “Security Order” would be violated.

The 607^th Battalion returns on board of the U.S.I.S Louisiana, they hold an urgent meeting between two of Eleanor’s superiors Admiral Matthew Owens and First Lieutenant Christopher Fitzgerald and the legendary Second Lieutenant Alex Corde from the First Recon Platoon. Eleanor explains her notion but just as Fitzgerald had protested, that it could have merely been an act to harvest their attention; a trick. They put an ARMS prisoner under strong questioning and get the same results; the prisoner spoke of, once again, some “intel” that is important to the ARMS. This particular intel is held by their precious Commander Dominick Sauvage. Reluctantly, the Admiral approves of Eleanor’s search.
