Intro
My name is Nathaniel. I live out in the Desserts of
Arizona. Of course, that’s really all what Arizona is
right?, Desserts and all. Anyway, I’m turning 14 in 13
days and I have a Gecko named Geek and a Australian
Shepard named Mr. Him. My sister, Ashley is 16. I’m
5ft5 and I have sandy blond hair and hazel Dark Blue
eyes. Ashley has sandy blond hair also but brown
eyes, like Dad, I have the eyes of Mom.
It does get pretty lonely and boring out in the
Dessert when you happened to be Home-schooled and
your next-door neighbor is an old Hermit who lives
2miles away. I do have a friend, but he lives in
California. That’s where I USED to live, where I USED
to go to school. Ernie. Yep, Ernie, he’s my friend- but
he only comes to visit 5 times a year. To make matters
worse my sister is EXTREMELY annoying, my Mom’s a
nature Freak and Dad LOVES Reptiles. (He kisses
Geek all the time.)
Anyway, back to my house. (Wait, did I already get
there? Hummm, guess not. Oh well. *Ahem!*) I have a
fairly big house I guess. I have a basement. If you
count the basement as a floor my house would be a
two-story house. ‘Downstairs’ is where my room is. My
sister sleeps above me a to the left. Across from my
parent’s room. Next to my sister, directly above me, is
the Study Room. That’s what I call it. It’s where Dad
goes to study. (WOW!) Mom sometimes uses it but she
does most of her research outside “Where the Nature
really is!” she says to me. And of course there’s the
Family Room and the Kitchen and all of those good old
rooms.
Now, since my friend lives a state away and only
comes down 5 times a year, you would think that I
would get pretty board. Good thing I know how to use
my brain to keep me satisfied. I’ve built 3 small shacks
about 100 yards away from the house all in separate
directions, over the past 3 years. In these I can write,
read, and there’s a huge long cable cord connected to
all the shacks and the house so I can watch T.V. and
listen to music. Cool huh?!
Yeah, seems like I have a pretty easy going,
boring, normal life. Man, I WISH you were right!
