What the Girl Said
in in my tiny cubicle / private vacuum with books and random dancing
September 5th, 2010
Boy
I wish there was a better way
To say what I'm going to say
But I've racked my mind and scoured my wits
And I haven't discovered any yet
So I'm just gonna tell you straight
And how you take it is up to fate:
You see
I don't think you're right for me
And we'd best part ways amiably
You felt the sparks flying? There were none for me.
I'm really, deeply sorry
That things turned out this way
I wished this didn't happen, but then, hey:
Conside this -
If you love me enough you'll let me go
And understand, although with a bit of sorrow.
One last favour though - can you, once your anger abates
Please try not to hate.
I wish there'd been a better way,
But what I just said, I had needed to say.
