Whispers In My Mind Part Three
in New York
January 24th, 2010
"Time for us to go." Mother declared. "Thank you for spending time with us." Lorraine said warmly. "You are invited to the funeral Tuesday." Today is Sunday. I thought, getting up from the table. My head was screaming to rip off my veil, but I knew I couldn't. At least in front of Mother and Lorraine and Jonathan and Jake and... Annika. Annika's name sent a shver down my spine.
Suddenly, I heard a voice.
Carly! You must help me! You must help me find justice!
My eyebrows rose in confusion. Whispers in my mind? Am I going crazy? I thought. And who could they be exactly, anyway?
"C'mon Carly." Mother said, walking out of the door. I trailed behind and walked toward the car.
Justice...
Please Carly.
Please.
