in my imagination, wondering who in the world designed this place.

August 24th, 2010

A/N: I wrote this during English after I wrote a letter to my teacher. (It was an assignment) and I JUST HAD to write after the letter I wrote... And this, is what I came up with.

The room is silent and I don't have much time. My hand cramps and throbs as I desperately ty to keep my pencil as fast as my brain spits out words. They keep coming and coming. I shift in my seat, hunched over the lined paper, trying to divert the pain. It intenisfies as I know I'm reaching the point of no return.

I banish my illy written words sprawled on the paper and know I have no time to erase my mistakes for I know my mind will be farther ahead when I finish my erasing.

My hand can't move at the superior pace of my mind as the ideas brim over. I reach the point and fall into a blissful state of tranquility that will only cease when I surrender to the pain aching in my hand.

Refreshed of the feeling it bares, I vanquish to the pain. It floods out in a rush and I toss my hot pencil aside and breathe; finally.

I relax my tensed muscles and scan over my work. I make the corrections I failed to do during the intense process and smile at my work, admiration spiraling through me.

I take a moment; in and out my breath is suck and pushed, I picked up the pencil. I wince as the familar pain cascades through me. Dauntingly, I write again, building up to the moment of absolute pleasure once more...

Down here in yippie-yi Texas

Down here in yippie-yi Texas (not really the way we talk, but you know what I mean) we take the TAKS test at the end of every year. It stands for Torturing All the Kids in the State. (no. Texas Assesment of Knoledge and Skill...) and in 4th and 7th grade we have to take writing. On the test, we have to write a story according to the plot and they're rated 1-4; 4 being the best.

This is a 5. No... this is a 5 BILLION.

And remember kids: There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Just pray that it isn't a train.
