Writing All My Life
Biography
-
Hey,
I'm a Minnesotan teenager, and no, I don’t say “dontch’ya know” or any other of those things people say out there:P Okay, I do say “ya know?” a lot, but c’mon. Cut me some slack here. I <3Minnesota, I’m not going to change.
Anyhow, I think you need to know a bit more about me other than the fact that I’m a Minnesotan. Sorry for dumpin’ all that on ya. Haha, I've been writing for as long as I can remember. I mean, everyone wrote stories when they were little, but I remember filling a notebook with short stories (no they're not very good) and I think I still have it. I guess something motivated me to keep writing, so I did. So I am. I'm working very hard on editing my novel called "The Assassin's Son" and I am over 140 pages, around 42,000 words! It is posted here on this site if you want to read it. I've changed the name a lot (sorry if that's confusing...), and to start out with it was called "Airborne *Unraveled Secrets*", then it was "To Find the Truth", and now it's "The Assassin's Son". If you want to try reading it, then you can just type in these titles in the search bar. I'm not sure how many chapters are called Airborne and To Find the Truth, but I know that the chapters 24 and on are called The Assassin's Son. Confusing much?
Anyway, I absolutely LOVEto write(well, obviously), draw(anime, sketching real faces (mostly from Titanic)), climbingin general, singing (choir<3), gymnastics(bars<3 When I was in gymnastics, I performed bars after not doing so in a long time with this lady spotting me who was in the Olympics at some point a long time ago apparently, and she said I was Olympic material! It’s insane, but I don’t do gymnasticsanymore because I don’t like the system here. But I will never be rid of my love for bars.), dancing, acting(to myself... I’m so shy.).
I have a few favorite books... “THE MAZE RUNNER” and “THE SCORCH TRIALS” by James Dashner, “TheLAST SONG” by Nicholas Sparks, "Old Magic" by Marianne Curley, TheHomelandersSeriesby Andrew Klavan (absolute favorite series ever!), “INCARCERON” and “SAPPHIQUE” by Catherine Fisher, "HALO" by Alexandra Adornetto (she published this book when she was 18 but she published her first book when she was 14 years old! That gives us hope right?), and “NUM8ERS” by Rachel Ward.
NOW, for a few of my favorite movies... ‘TITANIC’ (favorite movie ever! I have a lot of sketches posted here from TITANICthat I drew.), ‘TheLASTSONG’ (second favorite movie ever!), ‘CAST AWAY’ with Tom Hanks, ‘A Walk to Remember,’ ‘Enough’ with Jennifer Lopez, ‘Live Free or Die Hard 4,’ and the Bourne Identitymovies!
Ah, some of my favorite shows... MODERNFAMILY, American Idol(I love watching people try out!), AFV(America's Funniest Home Videos).
Everyone should have a favorite writing quote! Here is mine...
'Writing should be like a pane of glass - there's another world on the other side and your vision carries you there, but you're not aware of having passed through a barrier to get there.' - Patricia CornwallHey, we cannot forget my favorite songs for musicis the second thing in which I live and breathe...
SayHey(I Love You) by Michael Franti/Spearhead ('...I say hey I'll be gone today, but I'll be back from around the way, it seems like everywhere I go, the more I see the less I know but I know (I know), one thing (one thing), that I love you...')
Every Rose Has It's Thornby Miley Cyrus ('... Just like every cowboy sings a sad, sad song, every rose has it's thorn...')
Moreby Tyrone Wells ('...I know there's somethin’ more, than what we're livin' for, I see it in the stars I feel it on the shore, I know there's something...')
PALEby Within Temptation ('...I know, should realize, time is precious, it is worthwhile, despite how I feel inside, have to trust, it'll be alright...')My favorite word of all time...
DREAMFinally...
I think there's more to writing than we all know. I mean, we are able to take paper and pencil and create worlds that could never exist in the real world. We create lives, emotions, landscapes. I believe that at times, the places we create are places we wish we could discover. I believe that the character's life is something that we wish we could endure. Inside, in all those characters, there is an essence of you - of the author. The writer. We can always find a way to relate to the characters because truly, without a doubt, I know that we create these great pieces of writing so we can share our imagination with the world. So we can share a part of ourselves that, in reality, we are unable to do so. In a story you are letting a part of yourself out that you did not even know was there in the first place. And maybe, somewhere in the universe, these worlds do exist. And we are merely creating yet another copy of it. Who knows, really? It allows our minds to DREAMand travel to that world you want so bad to be true, even if it’s not. But who knows? Maybe we are better writers than we realize. Maybe the words we put on paper are just that part of us speaking. Making it's voice heard.
Make your voice heard... and write.
Sincerely,
Kt:)
