What happened here has happened and is staying,
I can’t take it back, that’s what I’m saying
But while I had fun and you with me,
I just remember all the hard times, and you remember all the good times.
I am sad to leave, but you maybe aren’t so sad,
Just say the word and I will say it too,
We’ve grown so much together, I’ll always remember you.
When you see me in the crowd,
or in town,
don’t be afraid to say hi,
or I’ll see you around.
We spent so many years together,
and now it’s time to go,
I always will think of you
in the words and actions we’ve shown.
Oh, so many days together,
5th grade only 180,
but combine it together,
and you get 1,440,
so many hours of fun,
so many hours of annoyance,
but really it was a blast,
all those times together in the past.
I will never forget you,
but most,
I won’t see next September morning.
I better wrap this up,
I’m almost crying,
I can’t take it anymore,
the emotional swings of that lovin’ feeling.
It’s been a long year,
and we all know it.
I wish we had longer,
