in Hawaii(I can dream, right?)

The bell rings and kids stream out the door

Glued to my seat

I never want to go home

There is no place like home,

Home is where the heart is,

They say

They're wrong

My heart is at school

Reading books

Talking to friends

Learning

Not at the house

Where my nightmares lurk

In corners and closets

In parents and siblings

It isn't much of a home, is it?

If it is your greatest fear

No.

My home is school

And I don't want to leave

My home
