Okaayy so i've decided to make a random burst of writing series. These will be in no way related. So, yeah, enjoy the first one (of course. I HAD to include some sort of animal.)

This was not the annoying pain that came with a cut on the finger, nor was it the ache of bruised limbs, nor was it the sharp, shooting pain that came from a stab in the side. This was a pure steady pain, throbbing and pulsing with each deep breath.
Yellow lights danced, blurring in her vision. She tried to focus, but the teasing bulbs seemed to just avoid her focal point. Always dancing on the sides. She tried to turn her head, but that sent a wave of pain. Voices murmured, now jabbering fast, now so slow she could barely stand it. At times she could almost hear what they were saying, but like the blurry balls, they were only teasing her. A mumbling voice seemed to come from the orbs as they pulsed, still teasing her, taunting her.
She floated on alternate waves of heat and pain, always watching the blobs, always aching to reach out and capture those teasing creatures that seemed to be laughing now. She lifted a finger as if that one small movement would scatter the glowing balls. She closed her eyes, but the lights still seemed to dance. But this time they were inside her head, seemingly pounding with a thousand hammers. She opened her eyes again, just in time to see the orangeish lights scatter, and quickly regroup, still avoiding her direct gaze. They seemed to enjoy tormenting her, feeding off her agony of pain and frustration.

“She’s not expected to live, sir.”
“What do you mean? We can’t lose her!”
“I mean exactly what I say,sir.”
He sighed. “How much longer?”
“A day, maybe more. It's hard to tell.”
“And you’re trying your best.”
“We are, sir”
“There is absolutely no way?”
“Well…”
“Speak up man!”
“There is one way..” The physician reached for a box. “We tried it once before, and it was a fail”
“No.. you mean…?”
The surgeon held up a hand. “Please hear me out. We have the tech now. We failed the last time because we did it all human. Now if we did it partially with an animal…”
“You’re going to turn her into a wolf-human-robot cross. I see.”
“She will have better eyesight, hearing, even a sense of smell”
Now it was the captain’s turn to hold up a hand.
“Stop. Are you sure this is going to work?”
“No, but I'm sure we will do what you can to save her. She’s more valuable than the rest of the army. You said so yourself.”
The captain sighed.
“If you do it, please do it with a tiger.”
“I’ll try.”
The captain sighed.
“Are you sure you can do this?”
The surgeon laid a comforting hand on the captain’s sleeve.
“Trust me with this.”
