The She wolf was coming back. Artemis knew.
The fountain’s water tinkled merrily as if it knew that the she wolf was coming back. A lone ocelot sat on the edge.
The She wolf had been missing for two hundred years. Now Rachel, a cheetah with green eyes, had announced that it would be coming back.
Artemis knew that The She wolf would have a mark on her thigh. Her only worry was that She would have it covered up.
Artemis had a dark suspicion that She would be an imposter
The ocelot had to know what the mark looked like.
Her worst suspicions were confirmed. The She wolf had an eagle instead of an owl.
An eagle for revenge.
Artemis knew what that meant.
She had killed the true She wolf.
The ocelot splashed a paw into the fountain angrily.
The wolf was an imposter.
Only Artemis knew what that meant.
