The Super Cliche, Overused, Painfully obvious plot that we all know how ill turn out: Chapter 3 (CC this, please!)

Eventually, the day came. The dragon came into town, and Marty Sue walked up to him. While the two silently stared at each other, everyone except Jane and the old lady were rooting for the 'Chosen One.' Jane was silently wishing for the Chosen One to get killed by the dragon, and it was hard to tell with the old lady.
The 'Chosen One' pulled out a small revolver and said, "Your time on this world is coming to a-"
The crowd gasped.
They gawed.
They stared at the pile of ashes that used to be the Chosen One, while Jane and the old lady exchanged grins.
Everyone was silent for a few moments, then someone screamed out, "We're all screwed!"
The whole town erupted into chaos as people left and right started running random directions, some into the dragon, some away. Jane, on the other hand, grabbed a microphone while the old lady grabbed a pen. Jane walked over to the dragon and said, "Why aren't you killing us all?"
"I just ate. And only that idiot..." he said, pointing to the ashes that used to be Marty Sue, "...tried to kill me."
"Yeah, I guess that's fair."
"Okay, goodbye."
The dragon flew away into the sky, while Jane and the old lady watched. Turning to the old lady, Jane said, "I guess that's the last we'll see of him."
"I think so too."
Wait, so you're just going to end the story right there? It's so short! Well, I couldn't think of a satisfying ending, so sorry about that. At least I finished it at all, right? Yeah, I guess so...
