First, let me start with a small sypnopsis of the book. Brian Hammet's, the captain of his highschool basketball team, girlfriend has been murdered, along with her younger brother and her mother. Brian was out in the driveway shooting baskets, when it happened. He was so incredibly focused on basketball, he didn't hear the shots. It only came to his attention when Officer Daine, Amanda's father, came home, and came out of the garage, screaming hysterically. The police, along with a fellow officer of Amanda's father, believes it was Daine who murdered them. But Brian believes otherwise. He knows he has something inside of him that could crack the case. Will he bring this to the public? Or will he sink into guilt, keeping it buried inside? To find out, read The Perfect Shot. This book was the best one I've read in a while, and it seemed there was a plot twist every other page. Elaine's description of the intense basketball games, and the even tenser story, makes for not a perfect shot, but a perfect book.
