MOST. BORING. BOOK. EVER!!!!!!!!!

Ok, now that I got that out of the way, here is the actual review.
The characters were flat. Nyle, the main character, seemed like the author didn't describe her emotions and her life before the "accident". The book is very boring, it reminds me do a dog chasing its tail, trying to accomplish something, but just sending up going around in circles. The book is about Nyle's life after a nuclear factory explodes and turns multiple cities, like Boston, into a deserted, desolate wasteland. Nyle lives with her grandmother, running their sheep farm after her father left her and her mother and grandfather were killed by cancer caused by the radiation. Then they take in Ezra and his mom. Ezra is extremely sick, but he gets better. He eventually helps with the sheep farm, but then something or other happens and he ----------. I don't want to be a spoiler. It takes the book many, many chapters to explain this, with fillers of a friendship troubles that could happen in real life and basically repeating the same thing over and over again: "Everything has changed since the explosion, and we are all struggling." It's a real bore. The only thing that stops this from getting a one-star review is that I think it would make a better story if it was more well written. The sad parts were either emotionless or overly sappy. I would read this if someone else wrote this book.
