A Book Review by feysand (lydia)

When Allie meets and befriends Nathan, the new English kid in town, she doesn't know what she is getting herself into. Big time. In this book, there are many, many twists and turns that can screw up whatever you are thinking will happen next.
The characters in this book are epyk. They have their own special personalities, although sometimes you can't tell what age Alex is. They are well-developed and I am in love with them. Great job on your characters, Stephanie!
Oh, the plot. Well, I must say, I'm not quite sure what the plot is. There are so many little particles to this plot that keep getting messed up, taken away, and replaced. Okay, I worded that terribly. What I mean is: This plot is very, very thick, and I consider that one of the best things a book can have. Also, Stephanie incorporates twists and turns in the book, things you never expected. But there are also times when the plot is very predictable, but I'm pretty sure that at least one of them is meant to be predictable, so I can't say it was terrible.
Overall, I would rate this book a 4.5 out of 5. I can't do half-points using KidPub's little ratings, so I just put it as four, but I think it is better than just a four.
There are a lot of great things about this book, and I think it will go far. As soon as I read the first chapter, I couldn't stop myself from clicking the next chapter button. xD Stephanie wrote this book well, but there are some things that could be improved.
This book, as I already said, can be a bit predictable. It is also all action, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it seems a bit rushed at times. Also, I don't think she should have taken the character that seemed the most good and turn her bad, but that's just me. The dialog seems a little unrealistic, too, at times, but there wasn't too much I noticed. (Well, okay, maybe not unrealistic, but they figure things out so quickly. Some of that stuff should take a while to figure out, but the information just kind of seems... supplied. I don't know how to describe it.)
I really do like this book, and I hope lots of people read it. Great job, and I'm betting I'll be seeing this book on a bookstore shelf sometime soon!
(P.S. I don't really have title suggestions... maybe "Maledicti"? I don't know xD)
