so my character Helen is confined to a wheelchair because of a condition affecting her sense of balance, n some bad people is out to get her, which she finds out in the marketplace when some asshole starts shooting arrows at her. her companion / nurse / mother figure named Rosalind is there with her, and realizes whats going on. the first arrow misses them both, but once rosalind sees the shooter she puts herself between him and her bby Helen, and takes an arrow to the chest. she falls a little, but recovers enough to stumble back into Helen's chair- so she's like literally sitting on top of Helen, covering her body w her own, and she takes two more arrows and bleeds out on top of her charge,
so that's reason #1 why helen is traumatized asf but anyway |

urgh how to solidify plot and structure and embellish it and add plot threads and have enough to fILL the story and have everything wORK togeHter
|
I need to choose one of my plots and stick with it!! im leaning towards the constellation thing with the sleepers but idk!! either that or the crossing the rift thing but ahhh.
also how much is too much to draw from an existing mythology |
Quote:
there is not such thing as too much lol. i mean, look at Rick Riordan lmao. also, I've started getting into Abrahamic Angels and demonology and other such shit (((so I might be forced by my writing mind to write a story involving that eventually)))) |

also should I make these children being forced to pretty much sacrifice themselves the typical ya novel age (15-18) or make it super heartbreaking and put them all at like 10-14 or just fucking mix the two and have it be 10-18??
also for all my different novel ideas I have different main characters and I love them all with all my heart. theres Haf, a young girl from a fishing community whos short and wild and gives lip to pretty much everyone, then theres Nanna, who ran away from her nation who forced her into servitude when her parents couldn't pay taxes and is now illegally working in another nation and she's cunning and tries to be a cool loner but is a dork who falls for like every pretty girl she meets. then theres Ever, whos a fucking badass who was from this old warrior family but then they fell into disgrace and went "well okay my lifes ruined time to run away with some criminals lets go" because she has zero chill like ever, and then theres Ivo who is really fed up with everyones crap and is tired of people being dicks but still is out to save the world from his sister because really he loves everyone he'd just never say it out loud |

mix em? to get a dose of heartbreaking but also have some older kiddos to take care of em |
idek how these are ever gonna come to fruition, but i'm planning two things that are gonna be webcomics, both with extremely tentative working titles/nicknames,
- zodiacs universe: not a magical girl series but it kind of is,,, a bunch of pretty young adult women with various colorful personalities in a slightly futuristic, slightly alternative Tokyo who can channel the spirits of the Chinese zodiac, and all the inter-zodiac conflict that happens along with their clashes with the rest of human society - kuroyuri: fantasy world with eventual (gay) romance about an unstable but ultimately sweet boy (I say boy but he's a young adult for the main story) and the shadow entity that has latched onto him and protects him thru his adventure of a life in the really cool crazy whimsical vaguely Asian world he lives in , who also naturally gets tangled up in some very dangerous affairs and meets an undoubtedly dangerous but dazzling man who takes an interest in him, idk but shruggg |

also! this other story idea is getting really fun to write and ahhhhh. I need to stop juggling all my time but they're all so fun. nanna is so great and nur is my anxious daughter and I feel bad for putting them all through so much shit but I will never stop. dima is amazing though I love writing him and his whole group of friends because theyre all stupid kids. dima I love because hes so wild and acts like hes such a heartbreaker but really he has this tragic backstory and is just constantly worried about his friends who he loves and stands up for everyone. and I love Rhiannon and Itri but also feel so bad for them because theyre so in love and they've managed to scrape together stable lives and they could move out because they have enough money but they stay in the house to help out all these stupid kids that live there and keep showing up and getting into scrapes with the law and trying to kill themselves and getting drunk on the roof and stuff, and Rhiannon and Itri are barely adults themselves running around going stop! no! get down! but i'll make sure to give them at least a happy ending. |
also in this book basically all the couples or eventual couples are just....so dumb? like theres eventually nanna and nur who spend the whole book going : wow...shes so pretty....I wonder if she would ever like me....I mean, she said she liked me but is that like like or just like??? huh! guess we'll never know!
and then theres Rhiannon and Itri who love each other and are a good couple but keep on trying to take care of all the other inhabitants and keep getting put into these like parent roles even though they're barely any older but because they're actual angels they stay just to help. and then theres this sorta couple who've both just decided: ok, no, we're just friends, like really good friends, and maybe we kissed once or twice but that's nothing! right! cool! and the only like normal fucking couple (as far as anyone in this book can be considered normal) is marigold and kit and they like each other and go on stupid dates but they're young and dumb so all they do is stupid shit! wanna play chicken on the roof! let's go! wanna see who can drink the most and still walk down the length of this wall! lets do it! ok ok we're going to see who can yell "penis" the loudest in this really nice neighborhood and not get yelled at. fun! anyway they're all messes and I love them all |

https://www.kidpub.com/forum3/pictur...pictureid=7797 https://www.kidpub.com/forum3/pictur...pictureid=7796 so in order, it’s haf, dima, and then rua. anyways i love them all and i should get a good picture of a drawing of cormac and nur when there’s natural light again |
oh btw, kuroyuri chars have full names now, Kuronuma Takumi and Touma Ryuusei. And of course, Entity is just Entity
Ryuusei is gonna eat Takumi alive, holy shit |

I've really been wanting to post something on the NSP, but I'm only working on one novel at the moment and that's called Reaper. I don't know if I should post it or not since I wanna work at it getting published so I'm really not sure what to do argh.

Quote:
john steinbeck's books are pretty much books for people who need to find a book after deciding to read one in their last few seconds of life they're really really really really small books |
Quote:
east of eden is super interesting though ,would you be interested in my historical context paper on it? |
