/lol after a year and a half of writing and some editing, this has just hit me/

(*fistbumps*) Congraaaattttssss c: Are you going with a traditional publishing house? (and wait are you finished Doubt Thou?)

so a character was born from a torture scene
the scene literally created the character
this is the kind of writer i am

alsooooo i love my characters but i love to hurt them
and the strange thing about these two characters i ship so hard is that i need to write their interactions and dynamic and develop their relationship really well otherwise it won't work and the entire plot of my story will seem to have been spawned by an out-of-character moment so no pressure on me or anything
WHY DID I DO THIS x-x (it's gonna be awesome once it's written tho i can be sure of that)

so i have an imaginary world that's been with me for as long as i can remember and it's called asaidia and although i have no idea what the actual work is going to be like i think that this "three children of taria" thing is gonna work out
let me explain
there is a citadel called taria in the midst of two countries; lassow and kolca, who don't like each other. taria is often reduced to a battleground-but the three children of the lassian king, canton, graciela, and ina, are very very important.

canton is a hunter and the heir to the throne, but he has a volatile temper. people think he's capable of less than he is, but all the same, he's never really grown up. he's sort of in a frustrating vicious cycle that doesn't help his mental state at all. graciela is the middle child who is-or seems to be-simple and mindless and very stupid, incapable of comprehending the power she wields as the heiress to the throne if canton should prove too volatile she is often called fair-and-foul, because she is a very plain-looking person. ina is older than graciela, but younger than canton, and is adopted, and her birth mother, sira, made it very clear she was not to be in line for the throne unless all else failed. she is actually the daughter of ardetor and the queen's sister sira, and her father is very, very, very, very powerful. and thus, so is she- but nobody knows that. ina is the fairest one- the child that gets the most attention. however, her mother the queen is doing her best to keep her crazy, uncharted power from manifesting so that ina's already stressful life won't be too much for her to handle. ina's got the habit of biting off more than she can chew because she thinks that what affects other people won't affect her, if you catch my drift.

i'd love your opinions on this- it's something that comes into my mind a lot.

I'm doing kidpub press publishing, but I'm also looking at more mainstream publishing stuff as well (you can publish with kp and also somewhere else). and yup doubt thou is in the editing works and almost done and omfg yayyy

that sounds like a good idea c: good luck with the mainstream publishers! (if you want recommendations for publishing houses- if you're not looking to get an agent- tor and daw both accept unsolicited fantasy/sci-fi manuscripts c: ). congrats! that's super exciting :3 what's the total word count, if you don't mind me asking?

I looked at both of them. Daw rarely accept manuscripts under 80,000 words and my book is about half that size. Tor seems awesome, except that it refuses to publish anything previously published whatsoever, and it's not open to submissions right now. I'll probably check it out again after I finished editing, but I'm not sure. It also sounds like they take a long time to publish, and I really want to publish by the end of winter break.

So I wrote 15k of a new book last night.

Super excited because I've come up with another story with tons and tons of awesome characters and I've already got a spotify playlist and pinterest board for it.

Like GAAAAAAAAH.

Although I don't think I'm gonna write it as a novel. Instead, I'm gonna try scripting it out as a show.

and i have no inspiration and i don't have time to write and my brain is coming up with a million excuses to not to write and passion isn't filling the holes that excuses are making so idk if writing is gonna work out but i will keep trying

I didn't write for the longest time ever.
and then I just started writing crap. all the time. it didn't have to make since. I would just write whatever I wanted to practice writing and then set it aside. Then I started working on my novel (I'm at like 27k words right now so woop woop)...

I still just write random little things (that have no plot at all) all the time.

Whoa. So, this thread has grown since I last was on.

I started writing some more and i have a mystery series i'm working on and it isn't good but it's something so I'm excited.

Leon is very incompetent at dragging unconscious people around. I suppose I would be as well... (Not that I have many oppurtunities to test that particular skill). I am having way too much fun with this story, but I just love it so much. Yay.

so im going to post a bunch of old (january-june) poems to finish up my collection the flow of words

i might still continue my symphony of the soul poems but ive started a new collection, the first three poems of which are "the spring is dead", "rain and gray", and "november dawn"; only "the spring is dead" is actually finished tho

im still editing the first chapter of TTT and once I'm done I'll post it as Natural Forces: The Twilight Talisman [Revised] ~Chapter One: The Runaway~ or w/e

im also starting to plan some fantasy tragedy idk

I'm Don't Have Writers Block, I Just Lack Any Motivation and Brain Activity to Write: a biography by me

Okay so guys there's this thing it's a prequel I plan to write when my current project is somewhat finished and jeez it's a doozy. Like there's this guy named Alex and when he was 13 these people came and burned down this school place where a bunch of his family (like i'm talking great-grandfather's brother-in-law's kids here, srs clan) was and a lot of people died, and Alex and what's left of his family is fighting those people. But it's been like years when the story opens and the guy is like so done but he's still warring...? Like he has srs moral code but he keeps breaking it and he doesn't even know what to feel about war. And in the middle plops these people who haven't been in the war- his cousin whom he's never met named Gylan, Gylan's ward/son/friend/person named Edmund, and this woman named Gillian (NOT RELATED TO GYLAN IN ANY WAY THERE WILL BE SO MANY JOKES ABOUT THAT) who eventually becomes Alex's wife. So there's that going on. And through it all in my head Alex keeps smiling...? like he fakes it a lot of the time but I think he just loves to see other people laughing and that makes him happy too. But this is a doozy and I don't know how I'm going to write it D:

Also in my head these kids should be alone but their parents ended up tagging along...? There's no place for the grownups in this plot please help
