“Yeah.” I chuckled ruefully, wishing I had worn shorts today instead of pants. They were rolled at the ankles, but it wasn’t like that helped much. Typical me, waiting until the last minute to pack and not checking the forecast. “So, What are you guys most excited for?” Needless to say, i was not a master of conversation.

“Honestly, everything!” I looked at my watch. The other KPers weren’t here yet and neither was Perry! Maybe Perry had decided to get something first? I wasn’t sure but I sure hoped everybody would get here soon. “What are you guys excited for?”

FrostBittenKitten 12-15-2018 09:48 PM

“I guess meeting everyone,” I answered. Despite it making me a bit on edge, I enjoyed meeting people and talking to them. I thought of it as the great paradox of being an extrovert with (some) social anxiety. “It’s like, I’ve talked to you guys for years but we haven’t ever spoken in person! And it’s going to be so much fun!”

"My mom almost didn't let me go," I confessed. "But my dad travels the country doing construction, and he's here right now, and his hotel is probably half a mile away from ours. So I might see him a lot. Did you guys get anything here?" I asked, gesturing to the Starbucks counter.

(My dad will probably be helpful during the purge.)

“A croissant,” I admitted. “I love croissants.” I had taken off my jacket several minutes earlier and it was already in the backpack slung across the back of my seat, but it was still hot. I tried my best to ignore the heat as I talked.

I nodded, then went up to the counter to get a muffin, then went back to the table. I squatted down and did a weird walk. "Just a warning, I'm this crazy all the time." I let them know. I had 100 dollars in cash to spend here.

“Same, kinda,” I said after Kayla said her dad was around. “My parents would never let me travel across the country alone so since we have family in Las Vegas, they’re going to come here with our fam, probably going to the beach, touring Hollywood, and vacation stuff like that.”

I decided to get a cold drink since it was hot in here. I bought a pink drink, (my Starbucks go to drink since I’m not allowed to have stuff with a lot of caffeine) and sat down once again with Luna and Kayla. “So what were your first reactions when you find out we were all heading to LA for this meeting?”

FrostBittenKitten 12-17-2018 04:00 PM

“Um, I kinda screamed and then did an embarrassing little happy dance and my family thought I was crazy,” I admitted, twirling a loose strand of hair around my finger. It wasn’t exactly a shock it had escaped my less than perfect messy bun. My fingernails were painted black, the polish a bit chipped, making my already pale skin look even paler next to it.

"I screamed and started demanding my mom let me go. I started spamming my friends and stuff. They were all like, 'yay, good for you then.' They had no reason to be excited so it was pretty funny." I realized it was getting quite hot. I got up and bought just an ice water. "I'm not used to Starbucks," I admitted. "Dunkin's has always been my go-to."

FrostBittenKitten 12-18-2018 04:05 PM

“To be completely honest, I don’t think I’ve ever set foot in a Dunkin Donuts,” I commented, crossing my legs at the ankles. I yawned. “Guess I’m a little tired today. I hope the others get here soon.”
