I'm like halfway to thirty.
I just realized, I'm in HIGH SCHOOL AND TOMORROW I TURN FIFTEEN.

*O* Ohmygosh. Happy early birthday :D
My only advice: Live each day slowly and enjoy it, don't wish time away, or believe me, it will go fast DX I speak from experience. But have fun tomorrow!

This coming from someone who has already turned 15, all I can really say is...it's actually not as bad as you think. <:^) I mean, if you're anything like me, once you get past the initial terror and shock, 15 is just another number. You'll be 15 and be like, "I STILL FEEL 14 UGH" for a few weeks, maybe months, and then, suddenly, without you realizing it, you'll be like, "14? That's so young....wait, when did I stop feeling 14? I forget."

Halfway to 30? Cass, you can hardly remember the first 5 years of those 15 years. It's okay. <:^J *gives a taco*

But, I have to admit...it IS scary. But there isn't really anything to be afraid of. Just try to sit back and enjoy life as it goes by. You're only 14 once, yes...but you're also only 15 once. So, why not make the best of it? ^_^

OMPJ HAPPEH BIRTHDEH SANDEH!!!! *throws top hat confetti and glomps*

Hehe...I can't very well give you much advice 'cause I'm only 13 and halfway through middle school, but you WILL do fine. Sure, you're halfway to 30, but that's 15 MORE years...and think about how long it took to live the first. Besides, you're certain to accomplish much more in these next years than in your whole life. :3 Trust me, you'll do GREAT. XD

The first five hours haven't been too bad. I turned 15 at exactly 6 pm, (yes... now it's 11... :I) and I believe it was as I was showing my dad a massive book about old trains and ranting about how steampunked it was.

(*hugs all of you*)
;_;

@MaggieMay:Yeah, that's what I was thinking too--DOUBLE my lifespan. e___e (*screams a little at the thought of living so long... I dunno, right now it seems like a SUPER long time*) I don't even know where I'll be when I'm 30... (*screams a little again*)

@Ash: I feel like I should be doing what other 15-year-olds are doing. Partying or going through boyfriend after boyfriend or swag-YOLO-ing or something... (*panics*) THAT'S what I feel like I'm forgetting! This entire time, I've been running through this mental checklist, wondering if I've accomplished enough this year. My grades, fitness, creativity and sanity seem to all be in check (sanity... it'll be pretty difficult to keep in these last ten days of school...) but I've still been thinking that I'm forgetting something, and THAT'S what it is; I just realized that! O___O

... Hm.. This raises more questions, though...
I won't be partying or drinking or anything when I turn 16. Chances are I'll be doing homework or watching a movie or reading comics or something. I'm such a sucker for peer pressure omg
Should I be living like a teenager? O_O In my opinion, right now, I'm not... I'm not doing weed or going to parties in the woods or smoking or any teenager stuff...? I don't even have a tumblr... everyone my age has a tumblr these days...
Arghh... All these weird childhood goals I set up for myself when I was like six and seven are coming back to haunt me... Plus, I'm as old as Mitchell now. (*for some reason, that's been on my mind a LOT*) I'm two years younger than Vladimir. e____________________________O

@lvhamsters: Thanks. <:^D I did. ^_^ Apparently I share a birthday with Johnny Depp? 8D That is so cool.
The years seem to go really really slow at the beginning, and then start to go at hyper-warp speed... e______e

Sandy...you don't know how glad I am to know that you're doing well. But I have to be honest with you. If you start "living like a teenager"...that's all going to go out the window. I GUARANTEE you that. :^| Your physical health will get all messed up if you start staying out late and parting, your grades will suffer terribly also, PLUS your creativity will tank from all the stress, AND your mental health will spiral out of control as you hop from boyfriend to boyfriend. And you know the effects of drugs, so, I'm not even going to go there. (Find the nearest druggie at your school. Take a good look at them. 'Nuff said.) You're not living "like a teenager" right now, and you should NEVER TRY TO. Sandy, they may look happy, but they're not. Their grades are terrible, their family life is terrible, their friendships are terrible, and they don't care about anything, and are willing to throw their life away for some cheap thrills and a temporary social status. Meanwhile, all the girls who have a billion boyfriends are not only being emotionally battered by the constant breakups, but they also have NO SENSE of trust. If they did, it was murdered by the first guy that cheated on them due to his own selfishness. Dating shouldn't be recreational, Sandy. It's both emotionally AND physically dangerous.

I'm going to give you a good quote from the Young People Ask book. "If you yield to pressure from your peers, you become their puppet." Think about it, Cass. First it's going to parties. You follow along with your friends night after night, party after party, constantly being around lots of other teens who are drinking and doing drugs and sanity knows what else. Then maybe you try a drink. Or maybe you stay out an hour longer than you anticipated. You meet a guy at a party. Your friends egg you on, tell you to go out with him. Then what? Are you going to let someone else dictate what you want and what you don't want to do? Are you going to give in and put your good grades and your emotional health on the line and let someone else control what you like and what you don't like?

<:^/ Sandy, you need to stop letting this peer pressure get to you. I know it's hard, and I know it's tempting...but you have to step back and think about it. Going with the crowd is, for a lack of a better word, incredibly stupid. You need to step back and enjoy what you're doing right now. That's what I meant when I said you should enjoy the year. <:^) Feel good about yourself when you get an A+ on a project. Sit back and be PROUD of a picture you just drew. Be glad that things are getting better. (They are, aren't they?) Look forward to summer vacation! Love the fandoms you're in. Draw and write to your heart's content. You need to enjoy the good choices that you make, Sandy.

Here's another good quote from that book I mentioned: "Realistically, you can't hide from peer pressure. But you can know your mind, state your position, and take control." You're already IN control, Sandy. You're no one's puppet. Please let it stay that way.

Oh, and I know how you feel about the correlation between the ages of you and your characters. o_e I actually changed Amber's age two times solely because I got older, and suddenly felt that she was way too young for me to realistically write about. x__x I think that's why I picture both Amber and Charlie to be around 15 to 17 whenever I bring them out on WB or A/N or GFW--that's much closer to my own age and easier for me to identify with. At the same time, it's borderline creepy. It's all really hard to explain, but I think I know how you feel.

*points to my Bible* I don't make this stuff up myself, you know. XD I learn things as I go along in my life, and as I study. If something I learn can help or encourage someone, then I will share what I know without hesitation. O_O I don't want Sandy or anyone else on here to ever even get CLOSE to giving in to peer pressure. <:^/ Going down that road is dangerous. If I can help prevent that, then I will. Simple as that.

Oh, and, on a side note... "He that is walking with wise persons will become wise, but he that is having dealings with the stupid ones will fare badly." -Proverbs 13:20
