It's very mild, but she said I should watch it and that swimming should help it...but she also said it can get worse with a growth spurt. I'm in the right age range for one, and I'm just...really worried. That it will get worse. D:

@Caleigh: What Rockshadow said. Still keep in touch with her, sometimes, so you won't hurt her feelings. Does she have other friends? (I'm assuming she does...) Have you told her to stop cussing/doing bad things? If you have and she hasn't stopped, it's just not worth it.

My friend, Gracie, had scolliosis, and she had to wear a back brace because she's REALLY tall for her age and she played basketball, so that didn't help. She ended up having rods put into her back, but she's able to move better now and she doesn't have it anymore. Just follow your doctor's orders, and I'm sure you'll be fine. :) It will only get worse if you completely ignore your doctor, and feel the sudden urge to become a gymnast. XD Joking aside, my friend only had to have surgery because it was a really bad case, but if it's mild, I'm sure you'll be okay. ^_^

When I went for a checkup, I was told I have minor *something* scoliosis… The doctor suggested an X-ray and my mom said it wasn't a problem. :P

When I was seven, I threw a big tantrum in Wal-Mart because my brother hit me on the back because we were fighting, and I thought he gave me scolliosis. XD *headdesk*

I've gotten hit in the back with a bag of plastic toys before, so I can say truthfully that it doesn't. ^_^

Okay, thanks. :3 Yeah, I think she only said it was, like, 10 degrees bent or something, and that's hardly anything at all according to the pictures on Wikipedia...so I'll probably be fine. :D

Hi guys! So, I really need some help. OK, I have two friends, M and T. T is really cool and all, but, she can be really wild and hyper. While M is very young for her age but very sensitive. T is still trying to find herself, so she likes to hang out with these really rude kids, and it is rubbing off on her. T is being rude to M, M is being rude and violent back and wants to kick her out of our group. They are both of my friends, and I really want to keep both of them, but before either of them can get along, they are going to have to both apologize, but they refuse to admitt either one of them is doing anything wrong! I am lost, confused, and hurt. What do I do?

Don't worry about it, hon, my dad had it REALLY badly so if it does develop not-so-great, well, just do what your doctor says and don't worry.... oh wait, I already said that. *facepalm* WELL THEN. I'm sure it'll all be fine. ^.^

I forget the degree my friend's back was, but it was more than 30. :/ I had to help her everyday to put her brace on at certain times during the day. Just keep your head high and try to think positively. :D

Here is my advice: Make new friends. You can still be friends with the people in your "group", but it's good to make other friends, too. They shouldn't be "back-up friends", but it's always nice to meet new people and yada yada. XD As for M and T, try talking to both of them calmly. Tell them to talk things out, with you supervising them so things don't get out of hand, and hopefully that will work.

Huh. That's funny. I'm better at giving friend advice than following it. XD
