My best friend is moving away. Not even anywhere close- all the way across the country. (I'm from the USA, so that's a pretty long way.) And considering our families aren't close (like our moms only know each other because of us, not the other way around), I'm probably never going to see her again. She also doesn't have a phone, and as such I probably won't be able to contact her much, either.

I fell asleep crying the day I learned. I've got a few best friends, and she's one of my closest, like we're in the same fandoms and love the same music and everything. We tell each other our crushes, have super huge (or not so huge) sleepovers, et cetera. And although I have other best friends, I don't think it'll be the same without her there, her being kind of the life of the party. She's also the second friend in a year I have who's moving to Oregon. Great.

...*coughs* can anyone help me out here?

and i just want to say-- you won't lose that friendship! i talk to one of my closest friends on skype almost every day, and the other i haven't spoken w/ much, but i plan to rlly soon! it will hurt, yes, but she's going to miss you a lot too, and you guys will find a way to keep in touch ! and there's always visits, maybe? if you go there, you could stay at her place for awhile and the other way round!

also, moving situations change, and who knows? she might move back, you might move close to her, or something like that. and even if you don't, you can call or arrange to meet over breaks/holidays or email (if she doesn't have a phone, maybe try google hangouts?) and i'm sure she won't forget abt u at all, even if you only talk once in awhile.
