it may take a while.
for me, it took three years.
but here i am, the most mentally stable i've been. i've not drawn a butterfly in over a month.
why don't you make a promise to yourself - make a promise to us?
promise that within this year, you're going to get better. do whatever you have to to feel more confident, whether that be working hard as hell on your art skills or taking time every day to look in the mirror and point out three good things about yourself or whatever you need. tell your friends to fuck off, and maybe you'll be alone for a bit, but it's better than being abused.
about your parents, maybe try to talk to them. tell them that they make you feel bad about yourself and ask politely if they could stop that. they might retaliate badly - mine always do - but at least they know how you feel.
(*hugs*) stay safe dear.

The thing is, I'm afraid to look into the mirror. My parents put a lot of pressure on me to learn a new language everyday, and I just don't have the time to draw anymore.
Thank you for that, Lena.
It made me a little more clear on what I should do.

Its really not that bad, Meera. My psychologist is really understanding about things and specializes in kids with autism (I have Asperger's btw). Maybe you could find one that is trained to help with depressive things.
Also, your parents. My mom kind of pisses me off, too. (Right now I REALLY need to see a doctor and she thinks we're wasting everyone's time.) But if they didn't care about you, they would have tossed you out on the streets a long time ago.
We love you, Meera. Please hang in there! :)

I've had a REALLY REALLY bad experience with a psychologist so I'm not taking risks. I'm just so scared if someone even says the word. It's awful. (i don't really like talking about it)
My sister apologized but it sounded... shallow.
Thanks, though! :D

hey. take a deep breath ok? i know it sounds cheesy, but just do it, take a deep breath. inhale, and exhale, just focus on inhaling, and focus on exhaling. focus on the fact that you are still here and breathing in this present moment. concentrate on that until your mind is calmer. when you're calmer, you can come back to thinking about that fear and think about it calmly and sort through it and any other negative emotions you might be feeling. but please try not to do anything harmful to yourself. you're important and very significant, k? i care abt you a lot.

honestly like if u have a method that works better than meditation, i'd say use that. like meditation helps me but i know that a lot of ppl relate it to religion (i used to 2) so if ur uncomfortable w/ that u don't have 2 but thats what helps me the best. so ya, just do something that helps u!!
