Max, I think you should do what Kendra suggested. Just try to explain to him that you want to spend some time with your other friends, too, plus spending time with him. Invite him to hang out with you and the rest of your friends so he doesn't always feel left out. (Also so he can hopefully make your friends his friends. too. ^_^) But, really, I wouldn't suspect anything at this point. It's early in the school year for you, isn't it? He probably just really wants a friend.

I wouldn't assume anything like that, Max. <:^J He probably just really wants a friend. And you ARE pretty fun to be around, so I don't see why he wouldn't want to be your friend. ^_^ Do you guys have much in common? I doubt he's just trying to get homework help. At least, it doesn't sound like that to me.

No, we don't have much in common.

The bold part: I know, it was just an option of decisions.

But he has heaps of friends. And we spend a lot of time together.

...Ash, I'm worried. What do you think is going on? Ugh, please I just want him to tell me what's going on. It is weird.

Yeah, but we have been friends for around 4 years and yeah. My friends are his friends. I got friends by making friends with his friends. He doesn't feel left out. He's the top of all of my friends (not being mean). I did invite him to hang out with me and he's really excited about that. I've told him about spending more time with my other friends plus with him but he just is like... attached to me, I think...

o_0 You don't? Huh. So, you don't watch any of the same shows or anything like that?

I see why you might suspect what it is you're suspecting. (Nowadays, it's hard NOT to. o_e) <:^J It's not impossible for a friend to start getting too attached. I've seen it happen to other kids all the time. I had that happen to ME several times. (Heck, one time, I had to consciously stop myself from BECOMING that person who's too attached. X_x)

Hmmmm...I see. *strokes invisible beard in thought* *fail attempt at humor*

I don't think you should start to worry quite yet. He just seems to be acting like you're his best friend--that's what best friends do. ^_^ Even in a group, they tend to stay close to each other. If you're uncomfortable, maybe tell him that you want a little bit more space, or just suggest that you do something apart occasionally. If I were you, I wouldn't start...asking him if there's something going on....until he starts popping your personal bubble and staying things that don't sound normal. But, really, Max, it's probably nothing. Don't worry about it.

That would be best. Just wait for a while and see what happens. Then decide what you want to do. ^_^ Keep me updated on this, okay?
