The moment when everyone assumes you are an expert in everything and a complete jerk just because you don't say anything.

I’m literally the angstiest. I’m sobbing over my ex one moment and then I’m listening to a cute podcast n screaming
|
After Alice Isn’t Dead I thought I’d never get into another podcast because the bar was too high but... the Bright Sessions. The FUCKING BRIGHT SESSIONS.
It’s very interesting and wild and exciting and the person who’s gonna be the villain later is fuckin WILD and scary af. But there’s also a gay relationship that has me literally YELLIN. The series is about a therapist who deals w people who have supernatural abilities. N there’s this boy named Caleb who is an empath (he can sense other people’s emotions) and he’s literally such a fuckin DUMBASS TEENAGE BOY but he falls so hard for this other dumbass emo boy and they are literally my entire life. It’s so cute his therapist has to actually explain to him, “Yes those feelings you are getting from both him and yourself, that’s called “attraction” he probably wants to date you” and he’s such a dumb boy he has no clue what’s going on but it’s so cute he’s my BABY. It’s such a cute fuckin feel good romance going on and there’s also a novel based off of it coming out summer 2019 so hang on y’all. But if anyone wants a wild sci-fi / government conspiracy / gay romance podcast, this is the best it gets. I have to physically pause the audio, remove my headphones, and whisper to myself “that’s pretty gay” every time this boy speaks. What a cutie. |
TW ranting abt 13 reasons why, there's mention of sh and suicide Some random defending 13rw; The graphic nature of the show is the kind of thing people need to see! It has the potential to open a lot of eyes and inform people on what they should do if something like what happened to Hannah happens to them! Me, someone who was heavily influenced by people with the exact same view on self harm as Skye; [IMAGE]https://media1.tenor.com/images/19e5...3681/tenor.gif[/IMAGE] seriously though, what the fuck is up with Thirteen Reasons Why. They didn't handle Hannah's character well and?? showing that shit on screen?????? and this line "It's what you do instead of killing yourself" That is Exactly the kind of thing that will put the wrong idea in a kid's head. I don't understand why this show is so popular, I don't know why so many people support it. The message is-- yes, the message is important, it's a message that people need to hear. But this show does a shit job of delivering it. It portrays suicide as something that will Make People Listen, as a real, viable option for revenge. It portrays self-harm as something that keeps you away from suicide, which is typically a positive. This show should not have been handled the way it was, and there should not already be a release date for season 3! I Am FRUstraTed af! (disclaimer: I have only watched season one and 1/4 of season 2, so I don't know if it gets better at all, but still. Season one was bad enough on it's own.) |
