Since it was apparently deleted, how did the author try and disguise it so people wouldn't notice? I always find that kind of thing interesting.

So KidPub didn't delete Chapter 1...yet.

Yes, I wonder if it will be deleted. It's very unusual how it's so similar to the Hunger Games, but it seems like he's trying to merge a SciFi with a Realistic Fiction.

I personally think it is too like the Hunger Games.

Banners and lights seem to have filled the school. Our old bin like school now looks like a rainbow coloured bin like school. Each banner represents a country. Fid is represented by a sapphire blue and golden coloured banner. Grafina’s banner is emerald green and baby blue. The banner of Onnod is hazel brown and turquoise green. Branch 1 has a ruby red and diamond white like colour. Finally, Branch 2 is represented by the same colours except their banner has a big two on it.

After lessons all the participants head up to the gym for training. I wonder who my team mates are. Once we reach the gym we are led to a large air conditioned room with tiny stars on the ceiling. It is huge. We all get a medium sized digital 3D screen. The edges are made of pure gold. I run my fingers on the smooth surface of the screen. The back feels like slippery dolphin skin. “Wow,” I said under my breath.

I click on a large glowing button at the back and a small hologram pops out. A short lady with big beady eyes starts explaining the rules. The screen changes into a garage. Large metal bits are fallen on the ground.

I guess this is the bit where I make my robot. I look carefully digging through the large piles of mounted metal for diamond blue pieces. I attach eagle like wings to my robot just under its arms. I then mantle a large shot gun on my left arm. Two long samurai swords are placed in their sheaths at the back of my hard metal body. I finally place a small hand carved dagger at the side of my thigh.

After I finished creating my robot, the short lady appears again with a much more stern face. “Now please choose a pet,” she says in a soothing gentle voice as if she were making an airport announcement.

I look through all the untaken options. I look at a large red Chinese dragon. It looks cool and strong but I don’t have that bonded love feeling. I scan through the options again from the beginning. I then spot a medium sized jaguar. It had lime green eyes, razor sharp teeth and a menacing but cute look.

I lift up the two halves of the screen and then fold it. The dome lights up. It looks like heaven now that the lights have been modified. I look down my row naming my team mates. There’s Fred. Fred is not much of a friend but he does teach me some trap moves after school. He has long wavy hair and baby blue eyes. He always wears a short crocodile brown leather jacket and silver rimmed sun glasses that quite suit him. And then there's CAT who I've never talked to because of her increasing popularity at school. She looks like an average fourteen year old girl. She has long wavy brown hair that smells like fresh dandelions that have just been harvested. There are rumours saying that CAT ius like a millionaire or something. Why would she want to come to this school if she could afford to go to a posh school in Hillington. Righ next to her is Henry. He is a nice guy but no one communicates with him because of what happened to his parents. In 2010 his parents were urrested because of a homicide report. My eyes drop. What? It's Ruby. She looks around doing the same thing. She still has that develish smile. It's kind of like her trademark and her ping red hair tops it up. We exchange dirty looks. Why Ruby? I don't mind if it's someone else but Ruby.

There’s a loud tap. I quickly looked around at the podium making sure that I’m paying attention to every word Principal George says. “Good morning children,” he said in a rather sluggish way. “As Rhunton High is the host of the games I would like to welcome our friends from the far corners of the globe”. The congregation gives a quick approval. “May we please welcome all the teams up hear. Let’s start with Fid and the go onto Branch one and two, Oddon, Dusterous and Grafina.

As the teams are being called out, I examine each and every player. The Fidans are world champions. They’ve maintained a ten times winning streak.

For some reason I keep looking at Ruby and she does in reply. It feels so odd. I gave my holographic character one last anxious look.

I guess it's sorta like the Hunger Games but I'm willing to bet the plot will change later on in the book.

Did you notice that he described the ceiling with stars on it? *headdesk* Now it's Hogwarts?

I use to have stars on my ceiling ^O^ They were glow in the dark though so . .. .

I used to have stars and planets. The planets didn't glow but they were awesome.

I have three stars on my ceiling. There used to be ten, but I gave one to my friend and the rest dropped off.

When I moved house years ago we couldn't get them off.

I used to have stars on the wall in my old house. They were pretty cheap, so they broke and died out.

So, Camille hasn't returned yet. Hm. How long does this usually last with her?

We don't time. Do you think we sit here with stop watches checking up on everything? I'm not against Camille, I'm just against melodrama from anyone but myself.

I didn't say that. I remember someone saying that she usually comes back after a certain amount of time, but I can't remember how long they said...
