i'm really sorry that you're in that situation tho
i think there are about an even number of pros and cons on whether you wait to tell your dad until you move out or tell him sooner rather than later but that's just what i think so you might want to try writing down the advantages/disadvantages to when you tell your dad if you haven't already and idk it might help you be more confident in whatever decision you make

i really hope everything turns out okay (*hugs*) and again i'm sorry that i couldn't really help a lot :/

i'll definitely do the pro/con list and maybe talk to my mom c: thank you <3

But the one time I asked him about it, he said he visits different churches in the area, but listens to his sermons and such online. so if a radio station near you broadcasts sermons from the local churches like ours does or if you want to hear Christian and Catholic speakers (I recommend Father Leo Patalinghug) then maybe that will keep just enough religion in your life so that your dad is at least a little satisfied. *shrugs* i don't know why I try giving advice, but that's my analysis of the situation.

yeah, my mom is religious but doesn't go to church. hm, that could work. thank you cc:

Okay, so the doctor said that I have the symptoms of leukemia/MSD, but they're vague. So she said to come back if:
I lose ten pounds without trying
I bruise more easily than I have before
I have a fever of 105 or higher for three days
And other stuff.
So, I could be developing it. I'm a little relieved, but now I know that I could be on the verge of it. Oh dear Lord.

if i told him that i don't believe, he'd be furious. my mom left a few years back and they yelled at each other for a solid year before there was finally peace. i don't know if i should tell him because he could blow up on me and tell me that i disappointed him and i don't know if i want to go through that
he'll have to find out eventually because when i move out there is no way i'm going back to church and he'll probably ask how church is going and then what do i tell him?? he's going to find out sooner or later and while i really don't want to go to that church anymore i don't know if i should tell him now

(bless u if u read through all of that im sorry it's so long it's just religion/spirituality has been a big concern lately and i don't know what to do)

i think you should probably tell him...

I sincerely hope everything turns out fine. Remember to not freak out over tiny stuff. Lately I've been worrying about retinal detachment and so I've been hyper-aware of every small thing that happens with my eyes. Paying attention to small stuff is a good idea but don't stress too much. I'm glad you're relieved though!

Sooo I've decided that I have to tell my mom everything that's gone on in the past three years because if i don't I'm sure as hell not gonna make it through this year. Right when i thought everything was better everything went downhill.
Any tips for talking to parent's about stuff like this... Because I'm uber nervous.

Emaafre 07-30-2014 07:35 PM

you're my bff right?
k but you read my message and blew it off.
fyi, I MIGHT HAVE FRIGGING CANCER, and u just blew me off!

Okay I'm kinda scared.

I'm a natural worrier, and I might be over thinking this, but does this sound weird to you guys? For the past week I've been having a little bit of chest pain (like on and off heartburn, and other times just you know chest pain) and I get kind of breathless when I walk around a lot. I chalked it up to a chest cold, which maybe it is, and anyway it's gone now. But the other thing that makes me worried is I've been having nausea, on and off, for the past week as well. Do you guys think this means anything or is it just me? Please help, I'm kind of freaking out.
