i have a C in US History, A in Psych, anf A in Jr Studies. But all my core classes (English, Precalc, and Physics) are D's. Im panicking so much, my parents are going to kill me??

Colleges look more at your JUNIOR YEAR and ive already blown the first semester. I know i dont have to worry that much if my SAT and ACT scores go well, and all practice tests indicate they will! And my parents have enough money saved to cover my tuition but as for books and stuff, i need scholarships. and i cant get good scholarships without an okay grade. im FUCKED and i want to Die

Okay, this is probably going to sound really dumb because I don't know anything about america, but do you have a student loan system? Like, a system in place to help cover the gap between what you can pay, and when you get a job of a certain income it deducts amounts each year/fortnight/etc from the income and loan?

I think you can pull those grades up, I know you're intelligent, it's gonna be hard work. Do you have tutors at school or teachers you can meet iwth to go over your coursework?

I know this wasn't addressed at me but I felt like I could explain a little
We do have loans but they're not all standardized and such. There are some federal/state (mostly federal) government loans that are i subsidized or subsidized (to do with interest rates) that you can get. Some you can start paying while still in college. You can take however many loans to cover what isn't by scholarships and grants, which are based on financial need/merit. Depending on the college, this can be a little or a lot. For example, one of my top choice schools is about $36,000 usd for tuition, room and board, books ish. With scholarships awarded, a grant, and a loan or two that the college offers in my aid packet, it's about $22,000 usd, around half tuition. I have to come up with the other ~14K, which could be loans or scholarships that I can find.

I have no idea if that helped, but tbh most us college websites have half decent explanations there if you're interested in learning more about it

Yeah. :/ I have another, William and Mary, that is pretty equal to it in how much I want to go but we'll see if I get accepted. :x They don't have the #1 writing program in the country but they're a public Ivy and it's a really cool place
I'm conflicted because they're both nice schools lol
