Yeah...personally, I prefer ancient history. They had better ideas as far as war goes.

Ya, on the battlefield, but what happens when you're captured by the enemy and put on a torture machine? Personally I like ancient and medieval. Ancient Chinese mostly and Medieval Japanese and Mongolian mostly(mongol because of Genghis and Kublai Khan)

Yeah, the torture devices...I wouldn't necessarily enjoy, but their war tactics..

Ya it's more interesting to read about the tactics of the great military strategists of ancient times than to read about how someone bombed another country and wiped out the entire city in one fell swoop with no strategy.

I like the torture devices of the old days... Napoleon was interesting, as was the French Revolution, same with all 1600s-1800s wars. There was a lot of strategy.

Who was it that had all the ideas for war and people are now recreating? Some artist? I can't remember!
