I don't think she's exaggerating. She's twelve, not nine years old and randomly saying that her brother died (if anyone remembers the natalee incident?). Did you read what Lily was going through? Or Sandy? You might as well say that they were making it up or exaggerating.

All right, well, maybe whining, but truthfully.

But here's the point, we're not here to judge or talk about how other people have worse problems than others. We're not even here to provide comfort although we can, just the problem is that we're not here to say, "people have it worse". She wasn't picking a fight. She was saying something.

And my writing is mine. It's mine. I do it because I love it. No I don't freaking put people from real life in my stories. I think that's cheating. I'm not a first grader! Why would I write a story about our DOG?! Whether you like it or not this is what I'm doing with my life so stop making fun of it.
And you? You, you're just - such a kid. You're so HELPLESS. I won't treat you like you're stupid if you don't ACT like it but you DO, and expect my pity. You won't freaking have it.
