I may have mentioned that the post was useless garbage, and that it was unnecessary since even a monkey could figure out how to use the website.

So...welcoming newbies is useless garbage?

In my eyes, yes. If we had to post a 'welcoming message' for every single new member, it would take up the whole NSP. It's a waste of space.

When I joined, there was a "Welcome Rockshadow" post, and it made me feel welcome on KP. I felt like there were people who appreciated me. It's something nice to do for the newbies, like getting someone a card or drawing them a picture.
