You learn all about contraception, STIs, and all this other stuff in way too much detail.

Because it's like the opposite of the American sex education system. We even once watched a video that gave tips on oral sex. No joke.

hmm. i don't really mind porn/smut i see lots of naked people and sex in tv shows (got and oitnb hehehe) i've also looked up porn and it just kinds of turns me OFf INSTEAD. i like fanfiction though.
speaking of smut, my friend linked me to a page where there was a fic of lucius fucking draco's brain. yes. and the giant squid having sex with hogwarts.
it was strange, to say the least.

all the sex education i got was in sixth grade with two very in-depth videos about reproductive organs for both sexes and the "journey" of sperm (it was useless. seriously) and then this year in health with a talk about pregnancy prevention and STDs. not exactly optimal timing, but i suppose it gave us a pretty broad perspective of considerably necessary information. :I

we don't even have a thing called sex ed but we've had a lot of stuff about reproductive systems in science and general studies in primary school. the only difference was that people were more bored than hysterical this time, unlike in primary school.

i like to read about cutting and abuse. it might be triggering to those who suffer from it but for me, who luckily doesn't have a problem with those, it's interesting and offers perspective. i kind of get how they feel more. sure, fun is a bit of a weird word to describe it, but i don't see a problem with wanting to read books on those subjects for reasons other than comforting yourself.

the idea of childbirth scares me really badly

like does no one understand that there is a baby coming out of one's vagina

that is really really scary

and how would you even have sex afterwards

and then afterwards you have to raise a child

and children are scary

(not like there were many straight white boys in my class though...)
