That was not sarcasm, by the way.

I am not Sheldon. I am female, I knock on doors exactly seven times, I am successfully violent and I understand sarcasm. I am not quite that severe.

(And by the way maxi, chapter eight of Hemlock is in progress right now).

I don't know. It's crazily easy to hide them for me, but that's because we don't have to change socks in PE and I can pull up my school socks to hide them (at the back of my leg). And they've faded somewhat.

xD Okay. But anyway, those people are a bit too old to be looking down on you for writing. It's not as if they don't have to write in class and stuff, you're probably just tons better than them.

Maybe, I dunno, leggings, if you're allowed to wear them, if they'd help? Or makeup?

Depends on the cut(s)' shape and size, but a band-aid covering them works.

rebecca 02-22-2013 01:02 PM

Everyone said Asperger's wouldn't be a problem in scuba diving, but it bloody well is.

Confuzzled 02-22-2013 02:51 PM

You say it right I front of my face. You say I like I'm not even there. do you relise even you, perfect popular you could hurt me? You say you feel led out of the popular group. You say you aren't popular. You are. Whenever I am around you, I always feel excluded and alone. I thought I trusted you. Turns out we are only friends when you have no one else to go to. Figures. I hope that stupid heck of a party is canceled.

MaryElizabeth 02-22-2013 06:52 PM

I hate that I still have to work on preparations for high school even on my winter break. I hate having to worry about paying for everything.

And though people say this isn't true, but "With friends like that, who needs enemies?"

Welp...

Since Mom wasn't home I decided to ask Dad if I could try out for the dance team next year....

...

He pretty much told me he didn't like cheerleaders or dancers and told me he wouldn't support me.

Geeeeee...thanks. And he also said Mom would say the same thing

So I went and cried in the shower for an hour and now I know what I'm going to say. This is how the convo in my head is:

Me: *walks into living room*
Dad: So are you mad at me now?
Me: Nope. Because I AM trying out for the dance team. I'm 110% dedicated and I'm not going down without a fight. Everytime I come out of my bedroom all sweaty, it's because I'm working out and trying to get fit for dance. When I go to down to the basement to run, it's so I can beat the 10 minute mile we have to do if we want to be on the team. Every free gym class I'm on either on the wall doing a backbend or on the mat doing front and back rolls. You sit and watch me do pirouette's and doubles in the living room every night, too. I don't want to get out of highschool and been like, "What if I had tried out for something new my highschool years?" And if I was a parent, I wouldn't want to be the one holding back their kid from doing what makes them truly happy.
Dad: *le stunned face*

Now I just need the courage to say this to his face. :(

You are right to try out for what you want. He's your parent, it's his role as your guardian to support you in your choices, whether it's sport or dance or whatever. If you've worked so hard for this, who is he to tell you not to?

That's ironic because that's the theme of the Open dance next year. They did an amazing Batman/Joker dance this year..and next year is the Wizard of Oz. :/

I scare myself sometimes, when I'm out of my definition of normal, which I don't think is very normal.
