Quote:

Dear Peppermint, you wrote a story including me. It's a bit... offending..

Name: The Dragon Girl (redone) (please read and comment, it's important to me )

Author: Peppermint.

Story:
'This book is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places, and incidents are either the product of the author's imagination or are used fictitiously, and any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, business establishments, events, or locales is entirely coincidental.

Don't believe a word of that. Believe this:

I mounted the dragon, gripping tight to his neck. The pitch black neck covered in stars. I could imagine silver flames erupting from his mouth, aimed at me. I took a deep breath.
“OK, start flying.”
“Say please Clemency!” said Alexander from the sidelines.
“Really? Really?!”
“Yeah!”
“Fine! Please, Nightstreak, start flying.”
“Yes Clemency, yes Clemency. It’s so nice when you say please-dly,” said Nightstreak (he’d been cursed to rhyme whenever he talked. So far, he wasn’t very good at it). He spread his wings, backed up, and jumped.
Green. Blue. Pine trees. Palm trees. The smell of rain. Wind. Smooth, black scales, shining in all the colors of the rainbow. That was all I knew as Nightstreak flapped his wings, soaring higher. Then, he leveled out, and I gasped.
I could see most of the valley Magedell resided in, red and orange and yellow and green and violet. Red roses, orange and yellow daffodils, green grass, and violet irises. I could just make out Alexander, standing in the rock-rimmed stadium, looking up at me. I could see the cottages that dotted the landscape, up the sides of the mountain. Dragon caves, smoke puffing out of some. Dragons, swooping, soaring, skimming. I could barely see the tip of a snow-covered mountain, one of seven that ringed the valley.
Looking down again, I saw someone, a girl with dirty blonde hair, running full pelt toward Alexander.
“Alex!” I shouted. “Nightstreak! Go down! Now!”
“What is the rush? Why aren’t you hushed? Tis only Catherine, another mage. Don’t be full of rage,” said Nightstreak in his annoying sing-song voice.
“Oh, just get down there!” I said, digging my heels into his sides.
“Oooouch!” shrieked Nightstreak, silver flames escaping his mouth. Nevertheless, he went into a steep dive.
The ground rushed towards us at an amazing speed. I was probably stupid, telling Nightstreak to dive the first time I rode him. I’d probably crash now, break a few bones, end up in the hospital for a week. That is, if Magedell had a hospital.
But, to my surprise, as I closed my eyes, preparing for impact, Nightstreak pulled up without any prompting from me. He glided to a smooth stop, and I dismounted shakily.
“Clem! What. The. Crap!!!” said Alexander, running towards me. The girl, Catherine or whatever, was still after him, but he hadn’t seen.
“Alexander! Turn around, you idiot!” I shouted. I didn’t care what Nightstreak said. Any blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl booking it towards my best friend looked dangerous to me.
Alex turned, a second to late. The girl crashed into him with a loud wump! and they fell to the ground.
“Alex. You. BUTT!” shouted the blondie, punctuating each word with a blow to Alexander’s stomach.
“Catty! Get off me!” said Alex, pushing the girl off him. They both got to their feet.
“You’ve been back a whole day, and you didn’t TELL ME!!!” the girl shouted, her fists clenched.
“Wow, calm down Catty!” said Alex. “OK, I’m back. Happy?”
“Who’s she?” asked Catty, pointing at me.
“Oh, right. Catty, this is Clemency. Clem, this is Catherine.” Catty elbowed him in the ribs. “Ow! She prefers Catty,” Alex added. Catty elbowed him again. “What was that one for?!” he shouted.
“I also happen to be his girlfriend,” said Catty.
“Hey, Catty! Bragging again?” said a girl’s voice.
“What’s up Maddali?” asked Catty. Without turning around to look, she
high-fived the girl, gave her knuckles, then low-fived her.
“Hey, who’s the newbie? Black hair? Wow,” said the girl, Maddali. She had dark brown hair with green highlights in it. Her eyes were a startling emerald color.
“I’m Clemency,” I said before Alex could.
“Huh. Brown eyes. That’s cool,” said Maddali, scanning me. “Aeropostale t-shirt. Jean short-shorts. Not the kind of girl Ethelgonda would like.”
“Oh, definitely not. She doesn’t like me,” said Catty, looking down at herself. “I’m wearing white short-shorts and a dark blue tank top.”
“Who’s Ethelgonda?” I asked. I’d already decided to like these girls.
“Who’s Ethelgonda?! Ethelgonda is stuck up, and stuck in the past. Even during her time, people thought she was old fashioned. She’s very old style gothic and hates all things modern,” said Catty.
“And she absolutely detests brunettes,” added Maddali.
“And she’s standing right here.”
“Crap,” muttered Catty.
“What was that?” asked Ethelgonda, who was standing on the top step of the stadium bleachers.
“Nothing, your royalness,” said Catty.
“Shut up,” said Ethelgonda. She had very pale skin, snow white hair, and dark violet eyes. She was wearing a black lace-up top, a long black skirt, and tall black boots.
“Oh, talking normally now, are we?” said Maddali in a mocking tone. “I thought you were full of ‘tis’s and ‘shant’s.”
“Guys…” said Alex warningly.
“I will not stand for this disrespect!” said Ethelgonda. “I shall call Raghnoll if you do not stop.”
“Running to Alex’s daddy are you?” said Catty under her breath. “Why not your own?”
“You know right well her dad’s dead,” whispered Alex, but there was a small smile on his face.
“A new gir-” started Ethelgonda, but I cut in, tired of being referred to as ‘the new girl.’
“Yes, a new girl,” I said. “A black haired new girl that you don’t like. And if you don’t leave now, you’re going to like me even less.”
“Clemency! You must treat her fair-ily!” said Nightstreak, rhyming as usual.
“I don’t give a crap,” I said back. Then, to Ethelgonda, “Go away.”
Ethelgonda shrieked.
“THE DRAGON SERVES YOU?!?!” she screamed. “THE DRAGON IS SUPPOSED TO BE MINE!”
“Ethelgonda…” said Alexander. “Nightstreak’s not bound yet. It’s OK.”
“But it’s speaking to her! It’s never spoken to me! It’s chosen her! Her!”
“Nightstreak is not an it! Nighstreak is a he!” I said angrily. Catty’s face lit up then, and she leaned forward to whisper in my ear.
“Stand in front of Nightstreak and put both hands on either side of his neck,” she said.
“Why?” I whispered.
“Just do it.”
Following her directions, I placed my hands on the smooth black neck, one over the constellation Sirius, one over a patch of darkness.
“Now repeat after me,” said Catty.
“Nightstreak, dragon of night, I, Clemency, ask you to be my bound dragon, to interlock our lives. I’ll save you as I save myself. Do you accept?”
Nightstreak looked surprised, but quickly answered.
“Clemency Vogue, mage of night, I, Nightstreak, will be your bound dragon, and interlock our lives. I’ll save you as I save myself. I accept.”
Ethelgonda had gotten even paler, if that was possible. I thought she was going to faint. Instead, she did exactly the opposite.
“HOW DARE YOU! HOW DARE YOU BIND YOURSELF IN FRONT OF ME! I SHALL HAVE YOUR HEAD, VOGUE!” Her voice was high pitched and full of rage. “YOU SHALL NEVER BE FORGIVEN! YOUR FATE HAS BEEN SEALED!” She turned and ran, over the tip of the stadium wall, and down the other side.'

I don't like what you wrote, especially since you added me in it without permission, and made me look like a big jerk. I ask you this... rewrite it. If you add me, make me sound like who I am. A nice person.

What's Not True In This:
Me being Alex's girlfriend
You made my name Catherine. My name is Sarah...
I was a bit rude...
Also.... I was like... weird...

Please e-mail me for us to discuss this, so we can edit your story...:o
