On a lighter note, my school is getting an educational psychologist in to see what my level of Asperger's is.

On the topic of IQ tests; I hate them.

How can one flipping test determine your intelligence and full potential?

I know. I remember taking one before and absolutely hating it. Intelligence comes in so many different forms, so why is it one tests can measure intelligence?

At my school, we had to do these tests at the start of the year which were like IQ tests, but I can't really describe them. The maths questions were to do with shapes and patterns and the English questions were to do with words sequences and letters and stuff :3 I really messed those up.. :P

Because they aren't meant to determine your intelligence and full potential. Certainly not now, but even when they were first made. They were made to determine the power of mental activities related to school, involving reading, logic, math, etc. That way, if a 10 year old had an IQ of 140, he would be placed in a class of 14 year olds and wouldn't have to be stuck in a setting that was too slow for him.

But as of today, they're not really relevant anymore anyways.

Do you see what we mean?

You are amazing, selfless, wonderful. You're more a saint than I'll ever be. You're depressed, and you have reason to be. You're scared, and you have reason to be. But write, because your writing is amazing. Draw something peaceful, something that you don't have to cry to draw. And once you get through your teenage years, you'll eventually find someone who sees how beautiful you are inside. You're amazing.

AlgebraAddict 07-14-2012 03:41 PM

I'm so angry. It's just a hormone thing, I know. There's no reason or cause for it except one thing my father said.

"How do you feel? I don't understand you. Tell me what you are thinking."

He is forcing me into speech therapy by threatening to not let me go to middle school in the fall. He's threatening to take away my computer unless I stop writing fantasy. My thoughts, my feelings, they're the one thing he can't take away or force or control. I don't want to tell him anything.

-_______________-

I hate haters. Wow...that sounded very hypocritical. Okay, scratch that. I think it's stupid for people to hate on certain famous people just because they're famous. Or to hate on people who like those people. It just...makes me so mad, and I feel like I'm about to explode because those people don't deserve it (yes, I'm talking about a certain band). They didn't do anything to you, so why do people have to hate? You don't have to fangirl over it, or download all their songs onto your iPod or whatever, but at least have the decency to respect them. Alot of people freak out when someone doesn't like their favorite band, yet they go and trash everyone else's. It just...irks me so much and makes me want to rip my hair out. And don't reply to this if you're going to be a sarcastic jerk, because honestly I don't think I can deal with that right now. If that band wasn't famous, no one would hate them. They could go on singing and no one would say the things they're saying now because they're not famous. And no, the fame hasn't gone to their head, because they're dedicated to their fans. They may not be the Beatles or the Rolling Stones, and I personally don't think they're trying to replace them. If they are, it's going to be EXTREMELY hard, since those two bands are really popular. And you know what else makes me mad? When people diss certain types of music. Like I said before, you don't have to listen to it or have it on your iPod, but at least respect the people who like that genre, and the artists who are included in that genre. I probably sound stupid ranting about haters and music, but...it just makes me so mad and I don't understand why people can be so cruel. >.< People are saying they're just another boy band, but I think they are something better. And by saying that one sentence you all probably know what band I'm talking about, and are probably already getting your opinions forming in your head. I commented on a music thread and told everyone I really liked One Direction, and I got drowned in comments saying how much One Direction sucked and all that other stuff. Is that respectful? No. So why say if all it does is hurt? You. Don't. Have. To. Bash. I'm just saying.

Again, don't comment and bash me for ranting. -_- I needed to get that out. How would you feel if you were in their shoes, reading all the hurtful things people were saying about you? You might say it wouldn't bother you, but you know deep down it would. People need to stop being brats and selfish long enough to realize that One Direction are humans, too, and contrary to what people think, they do have feelings and care what people think about them. And some people, like me, can't help that. I've tried so hard to not care what people think, but I can't. I just think people should be a little more considerate when it comes to bashing artists and fans. *shrugs*

God, AA, that sounds horrible. ;___;

HeatherB 07-14-2012 07:28 PM

My parents just don't get me. In all honesty, I think only my really close friends do, and even then....
I don't even get me. I don't get myself at all. I don't get why I couldn't be a better person. I don't get why I can't think before I speak. It's getting worse. Maybe. Well, all I can say for sure is, it's not getting better.
My mom knows me in terms of what I want and what I need. My dad knows me in terms of what I want and sometimes knows me in terms of what I need. To them, I'm not much more than a needy child. I am very needy, but I am also very wanty, if that makes sense...
I feel like I should be closer to them, and I am, because we've shared so many memories, but there's something missing. They don't know how I am at school. They don't know how I am at Circus Camp. They don't know how I am at writing. I'm not sure if I want them to know, because that would be a piece of my soul. But maybe then they could understand me a little more. Know why I get moody (from school), know why I try my best (from Circus Camp), know why I spend a lot of time on the computer (from writing).
It's just confusing. I want it and don't want it at the same time. I suppose the real question is, do I need it?
And I think the answer is, I don't. I don't need my parents to understand me better and not pester me as much about certain things. It would just make life a little better.

I know what you mean.... I think it happens involuntarily, at least, speaking from the perpetrator's point of view, it does for me. I don't realize sometimes that these people have feelings, because I can't see past what I consider bad music. So thank you for your post. I'll think next time before saying/typing something mean about an artist. <3

Melon 07-14-2012 07:44 PM

I know exactly how you feel, I hate it when people say things like 'Justin Biebers gay', and I'm like 'Uh...no, he's not. Do you know the MEANING, of gay?' Or 'One Direction'. It is so annoying, and I completely agree with you. Stop hating on artists and bands! They haven't done anything to you!

LizzieS 07-14-2012 08:27 PM

I understand what you mean, Skittles. I don't think it's bad to like One Direction. But what really annoys me is people who are complete fangirls. >.< Those people who are like, "OMG I LOVE ONE DIRECTION! THEY ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE EVER AND I'M GOING TO MARRY THEM AND I LOVE THEM SO MUCH OMG." I don't think they're music's bad, but it seems like most people just like them because they're a boy band and people think they're hot. And no, you're not going to marry them, they're, like, 6 years older than you and they don't know you exist. So stop getting your hopes up. Sheesh.

If it were just one or two people who were fangirls, it would be funny, like my friend's Josh Hutcherson obsession. But it's HALF MY FREAKING SCHOOL. So it gets really annoying.

I don't hate the band, I just get really annoyed at the people who think they're in love with them. >.<

I understand. If people watched One Direction: A Year in The Making, they'd know what their words do to them. :/
Speaking of Josh Hutcherson, me and my friend Madison are fangirls since we saw him star in RV a long time ago, so we wrote him a song and made a plan to go to his house at Christmas (since he lives in Kentucky and apparently everyone's home for Christmas XD) and sing it to him. XD That should be interesting.

Haha. My friend invited him to her bat mitzvah. XD If only he had come...

And I would appreciate them a lot more if they actually wrote their own music.

XD That would've been an awesome bat mitzvah. I'd be so jealous. And actually, they do help write music. Niall and Harry helped/wrote "Moments", and while alot of people think their music is about getting girls, "Moments" is actually about a girl killing herself and leaving behind her boyfriend...kind of a sad idea, but still.

LizzieS 07-14-2012 08:40 PM

Ahh, that's sad. D: But is that the only song they wrote? If they wrote ALL their songs, that would make me appreciate them more. ^_^ I think singing songs where you didn't write it is just like singing a cover. :P If you write it, it's so much more personal.

Nope. ^_^ Harry and Niall co-wrote "Gotta Be You", all of them co-wrote "Taken", all of them also co-wrote "Everything About You" and "Same Mistakes". It's not all of their songs, but that shows they can write songs, but I guess their record producers want professionally written songs. :/

I don't like One Direction. But I don't hate those who like it, just find them slightly annoying when they fangirl over him. Even the p.5s (fifth graders) are obsessing over them. Some of the P.4 too.

Or you could work at a place that takes care of wounded animals from the wild.

LaurenM 07-15-2012 12:36 AM

I've always wanted to be a zoologist. Ever since I was nine.
I want to study whales. Or narwhals. Or wolves. Or whatever animal takes my fancy when I'm older.

B**ch please!
Guy Berryman, Chris Martin, Will Champion, and Johnny Buckland all wrote ALL of Coldplay's songs, with the exception of a few songs form the album Mylo Xyloto. They were lazy at this point, but that's okay because they only had one extra writer and they still did most of it.

^Those four are the members of Coldplay.
But this is even more impressive:
Freddy Mercury wrote this by HIMSELF.

They're just like Nsync or the Backstreet Boys. No one will care about them in 10 years.

Ruza 07-15-2012 08:19 AM

One Direction is horrid. They're just a new Backstreet Boys, nothing special. They spit out crappy, auto-tuned, shallow songs that teenage girls love. It's sickening. Makes me want to punch someone.
