The last time I bit anyone was when I was like seven, and me and my brother were brutally fighting over chocolate.

I finally did something to help myself today and it didn't work. I'm so angry at myself and I'm crying and my mom is mad at me because I'm not happy. Happy is not something you can just get. Okay? So excuse me if I'm not the happiest person on earth when I finally stopped hiding in the fu--ing corner feeling sorry for myself today and it didn't work.
I'm going to go cry in the bathroom now.

I was realizing something really interesting about my NaNo novel, which is that though the characters are blind and mute, I'm using those two disabilities as a filter for what I bottled up and experienced over the summer. And it feels good.
