I would suggest getting off the subject of the world ending and peoples views on it. Yes, I do realize the world isn't ending, persay. I need need need to get off the subject unless you want me to rant...trust me you don't want me to rant.

But honestly every human is completely selfish. Everything is done just to further themselves. Some people do it blatantly (like corrupt officials and criminals) and some hide it (peacemakers and humanitarians. Think about it. Gandhi did what he did so the lives of HIM and his fellow countrymen would easier and happier). If you've read about the major Chinese schools of thought, I believe Legalism is the best one. The only way to keep humans in order is to use rules and exercise authority.

Yes, man is a selfish creature. Here are the creatures that know unfortunately for them, how selfish man truely is: Dusky Sea Sparrow died 1980s, Tansmanian Tiger died 1930s or 40s, Warrah died 1800s, Haasts eagle, died 1600 or 1700s. Some type or woodpecker, want to say Ivory or something Ivory, last seen late 1900s. Stellar Sea Cow died late 1800s. There are many others, but it upsets me to write more.

I agree that humans are selfish, but there is such a thing as free will. And people can and sometimes do chose to do what is right.

Because man is a stupid creature, learning from their mistakes years after making them. Hey! Let's shoot all the buffalo on the plains and destroy a well balanced ecosystem! Let's dam up the river! Forget the fish, plants, mammals, birds and insects that depend on that river for just about everything. I could go on and on about this, but I choose not for you hear a heck of a rant.

Time is a fickle creature. Well, 101 years since the automobile touched our lives the world has steadily declined, becoming as you see today. It is as if man has wished to see how long it took for them to destroy what we know as home, it'll easily be a record. Knowing man, they'll want to beat it.

I know people do stupid things to beat records, but come on!! Who would really WANT to beat that record? If they did no one would be left to know about it.

All humans want is power and recognition. In the medieval ages every country was divided into states vying for power at one point or the other. Tons of lives wasted.

The other thing is that humans can't stand differences. Why did the Crusades occur? Why is there racism? Why does Al-Qaeda(hopefully I spelled that right) operate?
