...*kills website for no apparent reason*...

Yeah, I think they'd get flagged for a lot of things. :D

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:10 PM

Here's what it says about Bambi: "Man, however, is portrayed negatively as an interloper that causes death and destruction."
I'm not sure whether to head desk or laugh… 'Cause, ya know, bunnies are experts at operating machine guns.

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:12 PM

I just did both. *Kills website again for more obvious reasons*

Kiwara 07-02-2011 10:13 PM

But we are death and destruction. Anyway, if they don't like Bambi, it's like Spirit... That's a load of crap. It's a good movie through the eyes of creature that isn't human. I remember watching a thing on the making of Bambi, they actually brought in the little fawns to watch them play and draw them. It was so cute.

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:15 PM

Aww!! :3 *Melts

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:16 PM

*Bursts out laughing* The following is supposed to be written by an adult for Bambi:
"OH MY GOD WHOEVER MADE THIS MOVIE IS SICK. Who would just let Bambi's mom die like that? And there are SO many hidden innuendos within the movie that children could take so wrongly. I seriously almost vomited when she died. Not cool. Not cool."

Bambi's mother is obviously an immortal creature. Perhaps Artemis.

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:17 PM

XD XD XD

I read a review on Artemis Fowl by a librarian. She hated Artemis, claimed that he was a very negative role model, would not house such stuff in her library, and wanted to give the brat a good spanking.

I wonder what Artemis would do to her. :D

Kiwara 07-02-2011 10:19 PM

Listen to this person for Spirit:
"i think this movie is far too negative and violent for any child under the age of 8. to be honest - i would have preferred my child to never see this! i really feel that the 3 minutes at the end where the horse escapes and finds freedom does not make all the negative and scary parts worth enduring... a very traumatic film full of animal cruelty, fighting and fire! i fast forwarded many of the really violent scenes but to see people mistreating horses that way and no positive message at all... my daughter cried so many times... this is the first time ive seen her sob uncontrollably in a movie! my husband left cause he just couldnt bare it - he said it was a horrid movie! if you have a sensitive child - dont go there - its just not worth it. if you want to see a horse movie consider dreamer or flicker."

God, I hate the two movies that they said to watch, they're the obnoxious feel good because everything goes my way and turns out awesome for me in the end movies... Ugh. Gross.

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:20 PM

Oh my god. That sucks. That was my favorite movie EVER when I was a kid! I adored it, and the stuff never bothered me. What, are you trying to teach your kids that mankind is a kind, universally peaceful creature? That's even worse than exposing them to 'violence', in my opinion... -_-

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:23 PM

Yes… XD (About Artemis Fowl)

Quote:

I thought it was so profound when the deer reffered to humans harshly as "Man," like we were all enormous bothers and threats to them.
… I think someone needs to make them watch It…

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:25 PM

I'm writing "Common Sense" with one of the crossed out circles on my arm now. :P

Kiwara 07-02-2011 10:26 PM

Are you kidding me? Liste to what this person said about Lion King:

"The messages were very, um, involved in freemasonry and paganism. Young kids wouldn't be able to recognize these messages very well, but they're there just the same. Among these messages is also talking to the dead. Literally. Mufasa's in the clouds....gross :("
**

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:26 PM

...I have nothing to say to that review. -_-

Oh my God. This reviewer is talking about MCR and getting half the lyrics wrong. Almost all. Like, listen:

In "Disenchanted", "The Patient" recalls all the fond memories he had before he dies...("It was the roar of the crowd that gave me heartache to sing.../I spent my high school career and got my degree/I always wanted to sell a car on TV...")

Got a degree?! It's:

I spent my high school career/ Spit on and shoved to agree/ So I could watch all my heroes/ Sell a car on TV.

Not even freaking close.

Kiwara 07-02-2011 10:29 PM

Oh this review is better! I want to look for the Nazi reference now.

"How can they give this movie a G rating in good conscience? The movie depicts premeditated murder -- a family member killing his brother -- and attempted murder scenes. The movie also depicts bully behavior and contains a reference to Nazis. No, it doesn't matter that it is animated and involves animals. The animals are basicly surrogates for human characters. My 4-year-old son was scared to death. My 6-year-old daughter was in tears. I had to hold a a therapy session after the movie was over. (I would have turned it off, but they had already been exposed to the worst, and I was hoping they would depict repercussions for the guilty. They did but it didn't make it much better.) Don't they get it? G means the movie is ok for ALL audiences. Let the kids grow up before you pollute their minds! The rest of the Disney movies are going in the trash."

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:30 PM

… Wow. *Writes on arm* I want a MCR and Common Sense Media sucks T-Shirt. Wonder what they'd think of my poetry… :D

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:31 PM

Oh my gosh... there's NOT a Nazi reference! Scared?! THERAPY?! Come on. I bet the kids really weren't that scared... she just thought they were...

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:33 PM

… Are they serious about the therapy thing…? I want to make them watch It… and listen to Simon & Garfunkel…

Kiwara 07-02-2011 10:35 PM

I think the only "Nazi" reference is the hyenas saluting Scar. But that could also represent an army, not Nazi reference...

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:36 PM

I'll make them listen to MCR and Green Day. Hang on... can you give me the link to some of those reviews? I want to see if they've done any of my bands, because that would REALLY be interesting. :D

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:36 PM

Ooh, and that song… The "Drove my mother out of my mind" and I think something about his dad dying… and "I'm gonna buy a shotgun and shoot you four or five times and watch you finish dyin'". I'm pretty sure I got that wrong.

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:37 PM

Or Mama lyrics. :D

Mama, we're all full of lies.
Mama, we're meant for the flies.
And right now they're building a coffin your size,
Mama, we're all full of lies.

There are worse in the song... :D

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:40 PM

Let's see about Simon & Garfunkel… Thievery, drugs(thievery of drugs), cigarettes, suicide, darkness, violence, inappropriateness… :D

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:42 PM

Green Day: Cheerful violence. Holiday and American Idiot both talk about world-war and cynically mock politics. Rich in language as well, St. Jimmy commits suicide, as well as rebelling against government.

I just made that up. :D

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:43 PM

:D

98% say language is an issue
95% say there's too much drinking, drugs, or smoking

On Green Day. :D

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:43 PM

"TERRIFYING!!!
this is a f---ing DISNEY MOVIE for crynig out loud, my children had nightmares. DO NOT LET YOUR KID SEE IT!!! it should be banned."

*Head desk*

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:45 PM

:D Lion King?

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:45 PM

I wanna see! XD I can't find Simon & Garfunkel or John Denver. :(

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:46 PM

http://www.commonsensemedia.org/musi...american-idiot

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:47 PM

Bambi.

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:50 PM

Oh my gosh. Kids grow up with that movie! As far as I know, they haven't turned into suicidal mass murderers in depression because of it. -_-

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 10:53 PM

I was listening to epik soundtrack music from Spirit as I read the Spirit one. :3

*Blinks* There's an official Justin Bieber Google Chrome theme… thing… 0_o

GabiDi 07-02-2011 10:56 PM

0_______________o

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 11:00 PM

Yeah… It made me pause.

Please tell Stara tomorrow that I didn't try to pass, I was just too lazy to delete any posts, and that I would not like eaten. :p

Kiwara 07-02-2011 11:00 PM

Lol I'm going to watch lion king and it's sequal... I haven't watched it in forever. What the heck? Where are there sexual references in Lion King? I mean like outright ones...

GabiDi 07-02-2011 11:01 PM

*Nods solemnly* I will, LST. We can keep you alive. :D

I have no idea... 0_o Maybe in the beginning, where it's implied that they should get married? :p

Kiwara 07-02-2011 11:01 PM

Will do LST. And reply to the KP NES!

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 11:02 PM

Yeah, I have no idea… Simon & Garfunkel, John Denver, I could understand, but Lion King? Eh, there's baby Simba…

L.S.Trendom 07-02-2011 11:07 PM

Working on it! And yay!

GabiDi 07-02-2011 11:07 PM

An awful awful movie
I cannot understand why this movie has ever gotten positive reviews. It is horrifying and obscenely violent. The uncle's meanness, deceit, and manipulation are better suited to adult psycho-dramas than a kids movie. I deeply regret ever showing this movie to my 5 yr old. Awful.

GabiDi 07-02-2011 11:11 PM

One of the reviewers on The Lion King was... insane. He must have been. Scarily so. 0_o
