I'm so scared as school is starting in four weeks and He-who-shall-not-be-named is gonna be there, right next to me. And my friend is gonna swoon and crush on him and I'm gonna try and not cry every time I see his face as the memories of his words hit me once again... What am I going to do?!?!

I think religion should only be as important as you make it. Some people are extremely religious, and I completely respect that, while there are also die-hard atheists, and I also respect them. If you're confused about what you believe, maybe try to open your mind and don't feel constricted– talk to people of different religions, research it if you find it incredibly important, etc. Like I said before, religion should only be as important to you as you want it to be.

I'm an all-thiest (yay I'm twins with Chris Martin :D He made the term. He's a genius <3). :) I believe in everything.

thats true!! yeah and it kind of sucks because if i said i was christian or believed in a god, my parents would mock me. so yeah, that sucks, but ill still probably look into other religions.

and that terms hella cool !!

I'm sorry about that :c My family's kinda diverse... one of my sisters is Catholic, another is an analytic atheist, the other is a mind-blind atheist, and my parents are both apathetic atheists. And then there's me, as an all-theist! :D

aha 'tis indeed chris martin is <333 he said something like "I don't know if it's God or Allah or Zeus out there, but I'll go with Zeus" <3333 aha he's brilliant.

edit: also, often times if i just come back to my breathing and remember the present moment and meditate, im a lot more at peace. i feel peaceful and happy and buddhism also just feels right. its not just the meditation that feels right, but the things i learn from buddhism. so buddhism makes me happy but im also confused and kind of interested in other religions.

I remember my dad took me to guided meditations one time when i was younger because i was doing these weird... things?? and i still find myself doing them out of habit sometimes, like i would make up phrases that would "prevent" bad stuff from happening and i would say them with certain tones and while going through certain actions and idk it was weird (obviously they didn't prevent anything) and i mean now i'm Christian and in Christianity meditation should be focused on God and His Word rather than nothing

but hey ultimately religion is up to you. Christianity is a lot kinder than typically percieved because when some people think of Christianity they think of homophobia and cissexism and sexism and stuff but i mean i'm not homophobic or cissexist or sexist and i'm a Christian. The religion actually teaches a lot about forgiveness and doing good things and of course a very important and key part of Christianity is salvation and faith. you can go to gotquestions.org to read answered questions and even ask your own (you might want to do research other than that though because it's possible some of their answers could be inaccurate. you should especially check other sources on matters like salvation because it's important to have a proper understanding.).

but it's up to you bruh

Just like you said, you don't have to choose right away X3 You have years and years to think about it and research and do whatever you think is necessary to find something that you're comfortable believing in. If you like biddhism, you should definitely stick to it, but that doesn't mean that you can't poke around at other beliefs.
But yeah, like blossom, I'm also a christian and have grown up under those beliefs. (just sharing cause i think it might help you get a look inside other religions). The biblical stories are all really nice, though so so so confusing, but they're comforting along with the thought that there's a God watching over you. So I guess like buddhism, it comes with that comforting, calming feeling. There is that stupid stereotype of Christians being horribly rude or homophobic or sexust, much like blossom said, but honestly, most christians you meet won't be. Another thing that most people tend to look over in the bible is treat everyone else like you would treat yourself so that means acceptance of all people and yeah. I don't known if this helped at all but you never know X3

i dont think we do? i mean i think buddhists respect buddha a lot bc he reached enlightenment and theyll bow to him but he is just a human being. and i like buddhism because its justs stuff like abt being aware and living in the present moment and accepting and acknowledging bad things and good things and being kind to ppl.

i feel like i dont need a god or a deity to be happy and buddhism helps me a lot, but as i said, im still young. and yeah, i know that not all christians are queerphobic and sexist and stuff so awesome. thank you for the link, ill def check it out!!
