Should Schools Cut Music to Save $$?

Some schools across the nation are running low on money and funds. That has led them to cut fieldtrips, the quality of their food, and sometimes, classes.
Yes, it is true; some schools are taking music classes out of their curriculum to save money. And, no music class means no orchestra or band lessons.
Now, the question that I have for you;
Should schools take music classes out of their curriculum to save money? Or should they keep this knowledgeble subject?

:confused:

I'd rather not eat at all then cut music!!

I know! I love piano, and I'm so passionate about music I'd take up every instrument in the world if I could.

Well if you lived in my small town you'd understand how boring it is so yes, I do think my school at least should take music out of the curriculum. As for other schools who have music and actually get to play an instrument then I'd understand why people would want to keep it.
I did have the chance to go out for band but the only instrument I play is my voice so I'll probably end up having to go out for quire next year :p

Yes precisely! I mean our music teacher's okay and everything but sometimes he makes music seem like it's the biggest thing in the world. Our band teacher isn't any better :p

I think it's how passionate you are about the subject. We all have different opinions. Personally, i'd be appalled and that'd just find me another reason to hatemy principal and my school.

Yes! Our music teacher can't sing, he talks WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY too much... same goes for my art teacher. Except my art teacher is always enthusaistic, and he says he'll let us have alot of time to do blah blah blah and he talks for about 40 minuts and gives us 20 minutes to work! And apparantly, EVERY single time we start a new school year he points out that someone has gotten better. It's like his way of advertising 'TRY TRY TRY!'.

Quite honestly, I hate musci class and all and I think that food is far more important than learning music. I understand that a lot of kids enjoy learning music, but, truly, food is more important, you have to admit. I know that maybe I seem selfish about this and all because I myself hate this subject, but I think:

Schools should give up music classes to have more money for curriculums and food and such.
