Gosh. Mystery has to be one of the hardest genre to write (at least for me). You have to plan th whole thing, even the tiny details! X_X

What about a mystery where they cover all the clues except for one tiny seeming-to-be-unimportant-but-is-important detail. Those are the mysteries that make you go whoa

Read Boxcar Children series (not the first one though) My fav from that is The Cereal Box Mystery. Nancy Drew is cool too, but Boxcar Children is really for all ages while Nancy Drew can be... Sometime for the older kids and up

Maybe don't make the mystery cliche because then people can guess it and loose interest. Leave it to me, there are some books like that. You want readers clutching the book, eyes boggling at the very edge of their seats. That's a great mystery book.

But... If you don't get their yet, don't worry. It's not like the greatest authors became great overnight. Every author is at a different stage, but we're all just a bunch of authors

If you want help with the plot, I'll certainly help. I was never succesful at writing mysteries, but I have to say i love coming up with ideas or just reading them
