Granted. Philosophically speaking, from a nihilistic point of view, no matter how the wish is corrupted, it doesn't matter in the long run, and thus it doesn't really count as corruption—it doesn't go far enough from the line between good and bad, which does not exist.
You don't have any wishes or dreams.
You stop eating. Stop drinking. Don't even bother getting up.
And somehow you end up dead in a dark alley gutter in London.
But it doesn't matter in the long run, so it's not really corrupted.

I wish that made more sense.
