No, Japanese. :P I doubt I'd be able to learn Mandarin. At least, speak it. I border on tone-deaf, I think. xD Don't the meanings of what you say depend on the pitch of your voice?

Yes...that's why Mandarin is annoying. It has four tones, but Cantonese has nine. But I"m used to it.
