Well, because it's not fun. I've been home-schooled for the past 4 years, but I don't have any friends or freedom.

Eh. I'm kind of an anti-social little bat, but I can understand the freedom thing. For me, though, I just like being homeschooled for the freedom of doing more extracurricular activities and vacations and stuff, even though my parents are moderately strict. It all depends on the parents and the child though.

I like public school way better haha
more friends
more time with friends
more opportunities for activities and shit
more time away from my family

(note that this is from the perspective of a dude with a v redneck family with antisocial parents and five siblings so)

Cool! Like literally home-schooled like some other KPers or Online Public School like me? I used to be homeschooled where my mom was the teacher and we did things on our own time (like skipping school on Thursday and catching up on Saturday). Now I have actual teachers, I've been to school dances, there are class times (only a few times a week though. It's more like a study hall for a certain class), and my sister isn't my only other classmate. ^u^ So, yeah, to me home schooling has different meanings...

HAHA LATE NIGHT RANT!

So the other day, we were talking to our friend who used to be homeschooled (like they bought the text books, siblings were classmates, parents were teachers, etc.) and he was like, "isn't your sister your only classmate" 8I

My big sister then proceeded to tell him that she had about 200 fellow students in the one class. I explained the concept of an online public school and, when I commented on meeting my science teacher at the school dance, he promptly shut up. Like, he was kind of surprised or something, even though I'm pretty sure we've explained this to him before. Of course, we did homeschool for a while where we bought the curriculum and our mom taught both of us, but now we have guidance counselors, teachers, classmates, field trips, school dances, and THINGS TO PRINT OUT. WE DON'T JUST WORK ONLINE ALL THE TIME. WE DO HAVE BOOKS AND WORKSHEETS AND STUFF NOT ON COMPUTERS. so, yeah, confused our friend something awful, but I think it's partly our fault for saying we were homeschooled simply because it's easier than explaining that every single time we're asked which school we go to.

I'm technically homeschooled, but I go three days a week to an independent school, so I kind of go to school and homeschool as well...
