It isn't easy to write a 50,000 word novel. It's easy to get a case of writer's block or to lose faith that you can complete your story. So use this thread to encourage others and post your word count.

My novel is called Desolation Zero. It is a zombie apocalypse story told through different witnesses of the harrowing events. I am currently at 6,107 words (not doing that well), but I'm going to do a ton of writing on the weekend. Good luck guys!

dude, that's way better than anything I could do. I didn't even attempt to do NaNo this year bc I knew I would fail ;-;

I'm on 33,000 words. My advice: get a plan. Flow with it. I've got a plan for the next 8 chapters so I'm all g.

i've got a plan and all and i know what i'm supposed to be writing, but i feel bad for doing it. my nano this year is really inspired, but it's a bit TOO inspired - though a lot of the plot is totally original and i'm proud of that, parts and motifs and character traits and plot devices seem obviously stolen to me. i could change them later when i revise but the fact that huge chunks of it don't feel like mine hurts a bit, and if i change it into a fanfiction then it doesn't even feel like a real nanowrimo. :/
