Post book recommendations - please.

hey kids, i'm going on a trip to mount rushmore in the nigh future and i'm in need of some good new books to read. i like pretty much anything that's well-written. i like fantasy, sci-fi (think Hunger Games/Lunar Chronicles?), dark stuff, mostly. oh, and i also can't read [looks at writing on hand] books with bad words or sexual content - like, my limit is innuendo and "damn" "hell" or, like, one or two s-words or b-words c'x

here are my favorite books, if that helps any:

harry potter

percy jackson

hunger games

lunar chronicles

miss peregrine's peculiar children

wings of fire

lord of the rings

a series of unfortunate events

maze runner

Maybe Graceling and Bitterblue would be good books, although they might have some sexual content?? But it's not relevant to the plot so if there is any just skip it. But they're like giant mystery/adventure books

Hmm... it's not exactly like the other books you listed (well, actually... sort of), but The Naturals is a really good book. And the sequel.
So if you haven't read that, I would definitely recommend it.

Divergent/Insurgent/Allegiant- Veronica Roth

Talon/Rogue/Soldier -Julie Kagawa. These ones are about dragons oWo

The Escape from Furnace series- Alexander Gordon Smith. It might push the swearing constraint a bit, but it's such a good series. It's super dark and violent.

Hellraisers- Alexander Gordon Smith. Definitely breaks the swearing constraint. Even more dark than the last suggestion, the characters literally sell their souls to the devil and fight demons from hell. But this author is awesome.

Pathfinder- Orson Scott Card. Fantasy.

The Gatemaster(?)- Orson Scott Card. Not sure if that's the name, but it was about a gatemage so...also fantasy.

Holding Smoke- Elle Cosimano. Couple f-bombs, s-words, b-words. Not really fantasy or sci-fi, more like supernatural. But it's been three days and I still have a bit of a book hangover from it so clearly it was a good book.

agh. your constraints are annoying

wouldn't actually recommend the divergent trilogy. I didn't like it
wouldn't recommend the mortal instruments either because Cassandra Clare is a bitch
oops I cursed~ you hate that~ how dare someone with a pathetic 137 iq not come up with a better, ~smarter~ alternative!!!

I always recommend the same things. They're on my bio on the main site.

No. 6 novels- Japanese light novels that have a really good English translation online for free. Sci-fi/dystopia that I like a lot better than English YA. Pretty gay. Great character development and dynamics. Gets pretty dark too. I love No.6.

Seraphina duology- interesting characters, interesting dynamics, dragons. intrigue. secrets. good plot too. diversity. adversity. English YA with good, interesting, relatable chars including the protag. How rare.

and also my works because I'm an attention whore lmfao

but seriously pls read these

Oh and there's also Navigating Early which is really good but doesn't exactly fit with your criteria. Don't worry though, no swearing or anything sexual.
