sixth form? wait so like 12th grade? like senior year? like ages 17-18?

as an 8th grader in a private montessori school i have no classes
though this year i'm in the second highest math class (algebra, though i'm going to try and test up), the highest math class and that's about all i can say. we do science/lang/reading/social studies all together (everyone in my class in 7th and 8th).

though this year in social studies we're doing REVOLUTIONS AND I'M SUPER EXCITING WE'RE GONNA DO THE FRENCH REVOLUTION (though i hear we're required to take like 20 pages of notes so)

(psst just gonna interrupt a little bit bc i just spent two weeks with a bunch of british people)
so basically 'years' are one number ahead of 'grades'
so Year 12 is grade 11
etc

(but i mean he just kinda explained what he meant so you can just ignore this)

EDIT: also just cuz i saw this once and i think it is the most helpful thing ever:

that is very useful thank you.
for the longest time, I thought that where it says year 1, year 2, etc. on the harry potter book spines was something JK Rowling made up and then like five years ago I realized that in that area of the world they call it Year 1, year 2, year 3, etc etc
