Suddenly, the restaurant's doors blew open with a gust of wind, rattling the chairs and shaking the windows. Smiling brightly, Elizabeth darted into the room. "Hey!" she yelled. "I heard everything. Yeah, it's creepy, but I think we should start working."

"Okay..." Connor said slowly, while Snow and Maria just stared at her, wide-eyed among the rubble.

Snow clapped with a tone of finality. "All right, then! I'll look at the coffee and tea stock and machines, and when I'm finished with that I'll try to fix the door. Connor, try the ovens and see if there're ingredients for pastries around. Maria, if you could fix the chairs and tables? Elizabeth, this place is dustier than a desert, see if you can find a broom."

Everyone nodded, and started working on their jobs. "Also, by the way, I don't drink coffee or tea," Connor said. "Religion."
Maria pushed some chairs around, and Elizabeth found an old broom that was probably magical in its heyday, but those were long since gone now. Eventually, Connor found a bag of flour, sugar, salt, water, milk, eggs, and everything else you would need for cake, muffins, cupcakes, donuts, etcetera. Tia had a bit of trouble dragging the tea and coffee machines out of the rubble, but it happened, eventually.

Elizabeth swept the room, her feet carrying her from one table to another. Each swipe only made the dusty floor cleaner by the second.

After a few hours of hard work, the group of four managed to fix up the cafe. As they all stood there and admired the hard work, there was a knock at the door. "I work here," said a man, standing at the door. "Or at least, I used to, before it collapsed."
He got behind the counter and said, "So, what do y'all want?"

Elizabeth pondered for a second. "Hey, those donuts look good. This place is like our own personal Tim Hortons...about to be restored to its former glory. Maybe I could try something. Hey, do you all want a donut?"

Snow is politely declining Elizabeth's offer of a second donut when the man enters. She blinks, taken aback by his sudden appearance. "Uh, an espresso, please. Can I ask your name, sir? Oh, and Connor, is fruit juice okay?"

(connor do you want to be in charge of developing this npc? i'm wondering if he's some kind of embodiment of the magic, or a construct that the wizard Perry brought to life)

Connor nodded. "The only things off-limits for me are anything alchoholic, tea, and coffee. Yeah, fruit juice is fine, as long as it isn't spiked or anything. Lemonade is also good!" The man at the counter said, "My name is Periador. Not Perry. Periador."
(Yeah, I'll develop this dude, but you can if you want. Sorry if you hate the name. I had to come up with one on a whim.)
