Amarantha breathed in the cool, salty air, staring at nothing but blue... Until a ship suddenly appeared at the barely visible border between sea and sky.

She addressed all crew on deck. "What ship is that? More importantly, whose ship is that?"

Jean's POV
I stood towards the back of the crew as the captain, Amarantha, addressed us.
As I looked on the horizon, towards the ship she was addressing, I took brisk strides towards the front of the crows.
"Captain, I know that ship." I began, and she nodded for me to finish, "It's the Raging Storm."
Uneasiness settled among the crowd, and I moved the hat lower on my head, casting more shadows on my face, in protection from the pleasantly harsh sunlight.

Amarantha was unsettled, but not majorly so.
"Let's see if she comes closer, then," Amarantha said calmly.

I nodded, leaning against the deck, secretly hoping for some excitement, days like this were lovely, but lovely didn't exactly fit my lifestyle.

Amarantha liked smooth sailing, but she would definitely not mind some excitement.
She watched. She waited. She watched. She waited.
Was the Raging Storm going to come closer or not?

I walked towards the captain, the boredom getting to me, and struck up a conversation.
"Not too much to do today, aye?"

"Aye. I'm almost hoping the Raging Storm will come over here."

The member of crew speaking to me I recognized as a girl named Jean.
