Just go under the 'Guild' section (or click on the 'kidpub houses' tag at the bottom of this thread). Choose a house (Land, Sea, or Sky), and post in the thread saying you joined.

Question: Could there be something like surrogating points?
I was looking at the house lists and noticed House of Land has only two member, which means both of those members would have to work twice as hard as any member from the other two houses in order for their house to keep up with points.
Would it be possible for a member of another house to donate points. For instance, post one short story for their house, and another for the other house. Or post a chapter and halve the points between houses?
They would of course have to specify that this was their intention, maybe with a post to this forum, or in an a/n at the top of whatever other post they make.
This could make it so that no house is at a disadvantage solely because it has fewer members.

That's a good point. But with point tallies for each house being posted to this forum, it would be easy to keep track of how the other houses are doing, and if one house was struggling then the whole donating points thing could be used.
I think being allowed to help each other out like that would help the houses to have better intracommunity relations to go along with the intercommunity relations already being built by the friendly competition to be the house with the most points.

Like many have noticed already, Land is the smallest of the three houses. Just for the time being, if anyone is thinking of joining a house, could you please pick Land?
I am one to talk being a member of House Sea, but I just feel kinda bad for Land rn which is empty. Sky is pretty full too.

I kind of agree, however there are 2 house sky mentors looking for mentees.
transfers may be necessary if land remains pretty empty

Hi! This mainly concerns the person who is running the houses at this moment but is also for other KPers as well.
So, you may have heard of the Monthly Writing Contests I'm attempting to start up again. Is it okay if the winners of the contest can earn points for their house by winning? So like the main winners gain like, (a reasonable amount of points), and the runner ups gain a little less points but stil, gain them?
Thanks.
